Fought back from that 5 spot Runelvys Hernandez spotted the Yankees in the first inning today, too. Just not quite enough.

It's sad when you can't read one sentence and comprehend what that sentence means.
No, being down by 5 is not an accomplishment. In fact, the word 'accomplishment' was never used. However, our offense being down 8 and then scoring 4 to at least try and fight back is better than what they usually do, which is lie down and score zero. See why?

All I'm saying is that you are trying to find light in this team thats just not there. Sure, they scored 4 when down 8, but in the end it doesn't matter if there's no W. Every team should play hard, no matter how far they are down. If there is one thing that most people can agree with on this forum you're a little too optimistic about your Royals. If it was the Yankees who scored 4 being down 8 to make half a comeback against the White Sox, no one would find any light in it.

That's pretty retarded.
You are reading WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too much into what I said.
I didn't say anything was an accomplishment.
I am not trying to see any "light."
I am not trying to see something that isn't there.
I said I'm glad we scored 4 runs instead of scoring 0.
I didn't say we won the game.
I didn't say we almost won the game.
I didn't say we are now a good team.
I said I'm glad we scored 4 runs instead of scoring 0.
Are you being serious?? Are you really like this?? Is this a joke?? Come on...surely you can understand what I'm saying. 4 runs is better than 0 runs. No?
Also, I don't believe I am too optimistic about my Royals. I've been criticizing them almost non-stop on this thread...are you f*cking serious about that?? Do you REALLLLLLLLYYYYY want me to go through this entire thread and find EVERY single criticism I've made of them??? I've been criticizing our decisions and certain players a TON..to the point that I have a DEAD TO ME list and I refuse to say certain people's names.....how is that optimistic. Yeah, I predicted they'd win 73 and they haven't come close to that so far. Okay, that's ONE thing. I've been critical of the Royal's WAYYYYYYYY more than I have been optimistic....and don't make me actually prove you wrong, because I will......and you know I will. Just walk away now.

Article in Today's SJ Mercury comparing the Royals to the 62' Mets
Of course the A's lose to them last night...
Royals vs 62' MetsWe won't set the record for losses. I believe our record last year was exactly the same as it is this year and then we picked it up a little bit. Also, we're actually seeing a lot of personell change now and that will continue, unlike last year, so there is still hope for winning more games than last year. Hernandez is gone and Affeldt has been demoted to the bullpen, and MacDougal will be back soon, and he's a good closer, and DeJesus is finally back, and Grienke will be back shortly.....so there's reason to think our team will keep improving....
Also, that article instantly loses ALL credibility by saying that Sanders has been a "bright spot" for us. Sanders has probably been THE most disappointing offensive player this year....thus, whoever wrote this clearly knows nothing about our team and our players....so it really doesn't matter what they say....also, I don't believe they mentioned how hard we've been hit by injury early on this year..so we'll get a bit better as we get healthier.
Thus, once again, we won't set the record for losses..I still think we have a decent shot at winning 60..which would be at least better than last year.

Sanders is the most disappointing to you? Really? I'd have figured Emil Brown, given his status on the list and substantial age difference to Sanders, who has to start wearing down eventually (and it seems like this may be the year).
But you finally get a bit of optimism with Baird being unceremoniously dropped today. Maybe some of those misguided AB decisions for certain players will disappear now.

Sanders is the most disappointing so far because I actually expected good things from him....and he has failed to deliver. I have NEVER expected anything from DEAD TO ME (LF) because his defense sucks, he doesn't hustle, and his approach at the plate sucks. Basically, he swings for a home run everytime and in big situations is almost guaranteed to strike out or hit a weak ground ball. He's gotten lucky at times and had a lot of bloop singles fall in this year so that his numbers actually look decent, but he just sucks overall. Aaron Guiel should be our 4th OF and DEAD TO ME (LF) should be gone....but alas, an .800 OPS and 25 HR potential in very irregular playing time I guess just isn't good enough to crack our roster.....
Hopefully with our new GM..things will change big-time in terms of personell. Moore is SUPPOSED to be a "bright young baseball mind" and coming from the Braves organization is obviously a bright spot, but I'll wait and see, as I really don't know much about him. Undoubtedly the best guy we could have gotten though, so we'll see what happens.

The afternoon after speaking with reporters, Mientkiewicz lost his temper during B.P. and swung as hard as he could, missing the ball completely but creating enough of a breeze to gently knock the ball off its stand. Emanski had to restrain him from angrily swinging the bat at the tee in an attempt to break it, and told Mientkiewicz to take a lap around the field to calm down.

Am I gonna get jumped by those same Chi-Sox fans who attacked our coaches??? Am I gonna be verbally abused in airports?!?!? LMAO....what, are people going to violently post on this thread that I should be killed for liking the Royals?!?! Will my right to vote for the All-Star players be denied!??! LMAO..what the f*ck are you talking about!?? LMAO..this is an internet forum....I don't think you and digitalmonkey saying "Royals suck" over and over is going to affect me very much...but keep dreaming. One day maybe you will be that influential...hahaha..oh man. Pure hilariousness.
