I just saw on 1st and 10 that Skip Bayless picked the Detroit Tigers to win the AL Wild Card. What a f*cking idiot. They won't suck.....but they are behind New York, Toronto, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Minnesota, LA-Anaheim, and Oakland. They might be a better/surprise team....but they aren't better than most of those teams.

Yeah, it seems pretty goddam likely that NY or Boston will take the wild card. If not, next picks would be Anaheim/Oakland, Toronto, Chicago/Cleveland. Then Texas. Then Minnesota. Then maybe Detroit.

Yeah..he's a good addition for us as a utility guy. Can play 1b, 2b, and 3b for us...which is good. When we had him previously he was more of a starter/plattoon player...and that didn't work that great. I like him better as a utility player who can start probably 1-2 games a week and provide a decent bat. Also...he pushed Joe McEwing out the door...and that's always a good thing.

One of the best days was when left the SJ Mercury News (my hometown paper) to go write for ESPN so I wouldn't have to see his mug on the sports page every morning.

His MO was to write just to stir it up no matter how stupid the position - and you would never hear about it again if he was proven wrong.

Too much football for my taste

I only listen to him on the way to work (although I've been listening to the Adam Corrolla show more often lately), so I don't get a big dose of him. I know he has the daily football fix, but that's usually later than when I'm listening. I usually get his take on whatever the hot story at the time is.

Cowherd's problem is coming on after the greatness that is Mike & Mike.

Mike and Mike is good, but ever since I got my XM it has been tuned into Channel 175...MLB Home Plate, so my new morning show is Mark Patrick, Buck Martinez, and Orestes Destrade.

I'm on the west coast, so Mike and Mike are usually too early for me. I've been catching the end of their show lately and it's decent, but the second guy doesn't seem too knowledgeable.

Yes, this is true.. and Reggie Bush stole Vince " the greatest college football player of all time" young's heisman. There's no doubt USC was super hyped, and well they should have been, they were an excellent team.. but I think most people in the national media must have skipped UT's games, particularly the Rose Bowl Verses Michigan and the Ohio State game. That and the USC game are three of the most magnificent performances I've ever seen by a college football player. And it took every tiny bit of VY's greatness to win.. god damn ,that was a great game.
