Not an unusual beat, I'm just pissed. I win this and I'm chipleader with 13 left. First pays $2.7k - not life-changing money but certainly nice. I was really in the zone and playing well and have no doubt whatsoever that had I won that pot I would've slipped into top 3 without difficulty. 816 people entered and down to the final 14 and they're still playing like total fish. Final table looked to be cake... but just wasn't to be. ACabral the Donkey went on to amass a huge stack before, unsurprisingly, donking off in 3rd. The winner was a luckbox who cold-called a re-raise all-in with 99 and cracked KK & QQ for a double bust. So 4 hours of solid poker down the tube for only $95 instead of $2700. Boo.
