How often would Crosby be out on a 5 on 3's? Ovechkin is routinely killing penalties because he is so well rounded. It's a crucial point in the game and a spot you have to earn plus you have to avoid taking a penalty yourself. On the powerplay I'd let him play out there as long as he wanted on that team this point of the season sheesh. I think part of the incident on the pk reflects what Russia did during the Olympics, sent a man out of the zone for stretch passes so the D would have to leave the zone to cover him and not be able to hold the puck in at the line.

So they disciplined him once for 14 minutes wow. If he doesn't do it again for the rest of the season then it shows his teamwork and maturity. Credit to the Caps for being willing to bench him too.

well, actually, if you watch him play every night, you probably know better than I do. I have only seen him play a few times, and my info is based on what I've been told by a couple of guys, and it certainly reflects their own personal bias.
I will say this about Crosby: when he was coming into the league, you never heard a bad word about him. Now that he's here, it's changed quite a bit. That being said.... hell, if I was 18 years old, a millionaire, and had everyone kissing my ***...... Im an idiot NOW..... I'd be a complete jackass under those circumstances... hopefully, he matures. He could be great for the game...

Crosby takes so many stupid penalties. It more then makes up for one little benching of Ovechkin. If guys like Koivu will publicly dismantle him, he must be a real little ***** on the ice.
