you know one of the main reasons I don't get tivo? having certain tv shows that I "have" to watch keeps me in on those nights. I'm afraid if I can watch them anytime, I'll end up going out drinking instead. see above post about the amount of will power I have.
but we'll see
terrible person edit: I once dated a girl for a month because she had tivo and I missed Lost a few times.

Honestly, not quite sure. Maybe it was the fact that the position they were in could never be comfortable. Maybe it was Eric Bana's naked ***. Maybe it was the weird grimacing he had during the flashbacks to blowing crap up while having sex. Maybe it was the fact that I would be afraid of drowning in the pool of sweat the girl was in.
Yeah, probably a combination of those

That's what makes us different I guess. I got a half-chub just reading that.

Munich looked good enough to rent, but not good enough for a full-price ticket. Kinda my take on most movies last year, and Hollywood wonders why the box office was so weak. The only movie I felt *had* to be seen in the theatres was King Kong, which was definitely worth the ticket.
This year has a bunch of movies I want to see in the theatres, X3 and Davinci Code are at the top of that list.

Beer has it's place in the world, that place just isn't in my stomach. I can almost get past the shitty taste of your average beer, but there's something about the way it sits in your stomach that makes me puke after 2-3 of them. Has nothing to do with my alcohol tolerance, there's just something about beer that makes me really, really sick (as a consequence, I'm a very expensive drunk).

I had Netflix a couple months once. I rented one movie, and lost it. Then, I told them it was a postal error and that I had sent it back within a week. They believed me, but I never got around to ordering another one. Long story short, I spent $30 to own Anchorman for a few days.

There are usually quite a few $1-$2 nlhe home games around my town (3-4 every week), but they are slowly drying up. I'm going to start heading to my local casino which is only ten minutes away. They have a $2-$5 nlhe game that is very juicy. It's only a $200 max buy in which sucks, but you can play some real poker if you're patient and you build your stack up to $500+. Now if I can only get rid of the girlfriend so I can play more...
$150 is definitely not chump change for only having one home game a week.

I would play all the time if I had a casino/cardroom (that I know about) anywhere near me. The closest ones are Turning Stone and Seneca, both at least an hour away, which means the trip costs $30 in gas just to get there and back. If I could just go like I would go to work or the gym, I'd play every day. That was the appeal of online, I could play whenever and whatever I wanted.
