A-7 of diamonds, raised from middle position, got pushed all in against KK and missed everything to get bounced. I think you almost had the chips to get away from that hand and pick a better spot, but at 500-1000 with the blinds on the way it was probably the right time.

I raised preflop two or three times from the cutoff with ridiculous hands in the 230 tourney when we were 14 handed because both the SB and the BB were scared shitless and were just praying to make the money. I still ended up down for the session. Here's another hand I remember from that session because I felt like a complete donkey.
Dealt KK in early position, raise and get two callers.
Flop is low cards with two clubs (I don't actually remember the suit, just that there was two of something). I check, guy bets, next guy calls, I raise, both call quickly.
Turn is another club. I know one of them has the flush, so I check again. Guy to my left says, "I've never seen someone try to check raise twice in a row."
I felt very, very small after that. I didn't know anything about limit poker, so I just felt like everyone at the table was laughing at me.
Both guys checked behind.
River was another club and I checked again. Guy 1 bets, guy 2 raises, and I fold. They both made flushes on the turn, but I still felt stupid for how I played it.

Newcastle is excellent. I don't know if I have a favorite beer. Portland is all about the micro brews, so I'm always trying different stuff. I prefer dark beers.
Baseball is my favorite sport to follow and talk about. Hockey to watch. And basketball to play.
