Assume all players have stacks of at least 100BB.

2 middle position people raise to 2x the BB. Only costs you 1BB to see the flop. Technically getting 5 to 1 on your money but your position post flop is ****. I opted to fold because most times the flop can't help you much unless you flop a tight, trips or a non nut flush. If you flop a flush draw, you might have to commit more chips and not make it, costing you too much. If you do make the flush, it's not the nuts.
I say the right thing to do is fold. What do you all think?

I thought this was a strat forum and not general. I didn't expect to see such a stupid response here, if you don't have a serious answer, don't respond.
I'm here to learn, if you want to flame, go to general. There are some cool young kids out there but I doubt you are one of them.

lol man, chill. im just playing...

as for folding 93s...i really dont think it matters in the long run if u call 1 more bb or not with the hand...

to be honest, i don't know why one would even need to ask, but hey...to each his own.

ggggggggggggggggggggggglllll

and you were correct, this is strat..not general.

Fold this hand if you're not a particularly strong post-flop player. Playing hands like 9-3 are tricky b/c you have to evaluate your opponents based on their previous actions, their raises, etc.

If you flop a flush, it is almost always good at that point. The chances of them having two spades in their hand AFTER you have two AND the board flops a flush are minimal. What you DON'T want to do is slowplay or play cautiously with the non-nuts and let them catch a 4th spade with their AsKd. Of course, if the flop goes something like 2s-8s-Ks, they may call/raise you with their As-Kx and will pay you off more often that not (you'll probably get raised if you bet at it, and then you push). Be happy to take down the pot right there, though.

If you flop trips or 2 pair with these holdings, you are again a favorite to most hands that are willing to raise/call a raise preflop. You will have a higher variance consistently paying to play these hands, but if it's only 1 more to you out of the BB, you're really pissing away a cheap chance to bust a big hand. Improve your post-flop play if you're nervous playing hands like 9-3 suited out of the BB and you'll see benefits.

Cash game?

i gotta say...i'd probly take a flop with this in NL.

esp if you know the raisers tendencies, where by your implied odds are even stronger

tourney?
i lean more opt to folding. i assume this would be in the early stages of a tourney and i'm preetty rock solid at that point

I would peel off 1 more card if it is only 1 more bet and then re-evaluate post flop.

I have folded hands like this in the past and then the flop comes 9 - 9 - 3 and then I feel like jumping off a tall building.

Take the card and see what happens but not every time. You are getting a good price to see the flop in this situation.

fold unless you got 2-1 chip coverage on other players.
