I do know that, bracket permitting, UW will PWN them in the Pac-10 tourney though.

Since WSU is out, UW is going to the finals. Somehow, we got swept by Washington State this year, even though they're the worst team in the Pac 10.

Adam Morrison is gonna be a GREAT pro. Kid can flat out ball. He is ALWAYS making the big play.

Also...are they a little overrated? Probably...but to say they can barely beat teams in their conference?? So what??? Teams ALWAYS play close games against weaker teams in their conference...it happens to everyone. Duke just lost to Florida St. UConn just lost to Syracuse. So??? Last I checked..the Zags were UNDEFEATED in their conference...so who cares if they didn't blow every team out?? They have only lost three games, a two point loss to #3 UConn, a close loss at #19 Washington, and a loss to #4 Memphis. They have beaten a lot of "bigger name schools" in their non-conference schedule and probably deserve a #2 seed. Whatever seed they get though, to say that they will be "lucky" to make it to the 2nd round of the NCAA tourney is just dumb.

ucla will surely get past the 2nd rd and be sweet 16 bound, there first two games are basically home games, they will be playing in san diego. I cant wait for the big dance

they win out in the pac 10 they'll be a 2 or 3... especially if they beat UW... they are pretty much as healthiest has they have been all year... but seriously, elite 8....

I still say Brandon Roy is gonna be a better pro than Adam Morrison. Roy is in the top 10 in 8 different statistical categories in the Pac-10 (as of last week), and was far and away the Pac-10 player of the year.

Outside of points per game, Roy and Morrison were comparable in every category, and Roy plays in a better conference, with tougher competition. Put Morrison on a decent team (i.e. any team with more than ONE offensive weapon) and his PPG probably drop to maybe 23 or 25. Still very good, because he's a great player.

I'm just saying, the Zags have played a cake schedule this year, with the exception of wins against #20 Maryland and #12 Michigan State. Gonzaga has been barely beating WEAK teams for the past 3 months. That's not exactly the best primer for the tournament against the best teams in college basketball.

I think I made a typo in my first post though. I wouldn't be surprised to see them get through the first round. I WOULD be surprised to see them in the Sweet 16.

not really... with UNC losing they locked it up... surprised to see prolly the lesser of the 1's in the same brackett... Memphis... UCLA did lose to them early in the year but while pretty banged up... should be an interesting rematch hopefully...

I REALLY hate Gonzaga, and have a hard time understanding why people think the team is so great. Yeah, Adam Morrison is an outstanding player. But the team isn't that wonderful. They've beaten 1 or 2 good teams all year, got beat by all the rest of the good teams they played, and barely squeaked out a number of wins in their division.

I say Washington is a better team than Gonzaga.

they are 2-3 agaisnt the top 25, which sounds week but when two of those losses are agaisnt 2 of the #1 seeds on the road and not by large margins it changes perspective a bit.

And people keep ripping on them fornot blowing out every team in their conference.. what team does? Duke didn't blow out everyone in the ACC, Uconn sure didn't blow out everyone in the Big East. When you are the top team in a conference you get every other teams best shot night in and night out. It's never easy to go undefeated in any conference, exspecially when you have a target on your back like Gonzaga does. Every player in that conference knows the fastest way to get some national attention on sportscenter would be to beat them... and they still survived.

Not as if UCLA was hitting their free throws - they almost blew it. They let Alabama's PG get away with a push on that last shot; just lucky it didn't go in.

The Wash-Illini game cancelled out the FT discrepancy as UW was at the line all the time in the 2nd half while the Illini never got there.

Well you were wrong, and UCLA was lucky as hell to win that game. If Memphis didn't paly thier worst game of the season UCLA would be done too. Right now they seem to be walking a blessed path. That game with Memphis was just horrile though, neither team really deserved to win. If UCLA plays like that in the Final Four they are going home.

The reason the Raiders lost that Super Bowl had nothing to do with the Bucs having a "good defense" and EVERYTHING to do with the Bucs having the Raiders Ex-Coach and the Raiders not changing their offense much from when that coach was there. Any "average" defense that could apply what Gruden told them about the Raiders offense could have beaten the Raiders that day. Have you seen the Super Bowl highlights from NFL Films?
