Ive been GT+ free for a good 10k hands now. Kinda sucks. The new setup is going to be ready soon though...

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (8 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with [6d], [6h].
2 folds, Hero raises, 3 folds, SB calls, 1 fold.

Flop: (5 SB) [Td], [Ad], [3s] (2 players)
SB bets, Hero...

It's so much easier with his AF readily available.

Im pretty sure it's a fold. But i get gaybet so often, i feel like i should be raising.
Zach6668
I think you have to fold.

Why don't you have GT+? I don't get it....

PT and GT+ combined bring my laptop to a hault.

And since party changed their software, i cant get the data anyways. I need the patch and ive got a non-legit copy.

Im buying it and PAHUD as soon as i fix my old computer up to play poker on. High res screen, tons of ram and a HD dedicated to hand histories. icon_drool.gif

Easy fold. If he's hit anything but the 3 you are drawing very thin and even if he's semi bluffing the flush you are a likely dog
Abbaddabba
You assume he has a pair or a draw.

I see a lot of gaybet/folds whenever an ace falls in these small pots. But of course, plenty of the bets will be honest ones too. Party seems like a more passive/honest site than others ive played at recently for clearing bonuses, but i guess it could vary depending on tons of things, including the time of day.

Their rationale could be - more hands in my range dont include an ace than ones that do. If i have less than a pair of aces, i often give up (which i did). His bet only has to get me to fold a winner 1/4.5 times to show an automatic profit.

When he has a flush draw with overs (for instance) im roughly even money. But that doesnt mean im indifferent to folding, because there already is a 2.25 big bet pot out there to take into consideration.

Other benefits to raising include getting a ten to peel and fold the turn UI.

Calling down obviously isnt an option.

I folded - but if i did raise, i would fold to a 3bet, bet the turn otherwise and check behind unimproved. Fold to a gaybet at any point most likely unimproved.

And throw some shit in about meta-game stuff too.
rwood
easy fold, gay betting is annoying but it tis an easy fold...
AlphaOmega
I think this is a clear fold.

It's a lot of risk to win such a small pot when we are likely drawing to two outs most of the time. Without reads, we don't know if he folds a ten UI on the turn, and he might hang onto any other hand that beats you, like higher pocket pairs.

If we have reads, specifically what villain would gay-bet with, then maybe we can consider getting fancy.
mrdannyg
i often gaybet aces (flop or otherwise) into solid players. if they're solid, and have the ability to fold, and probably don't have a read on me, i'll do it.
but if you raise, i'm folding.

in a small pot, i don't think you gain enough being right to make up for what you lose.
Abbaddabba
Im thinking if there's such clear consensus that it's a fold from posters here, maybe i should start gaybetting an ace high flop into late position raises with anything and everything.

no.
Bad players will call you down with better hands.
Good players will fold and you'll only pay off their better hands. And the observant ones will nail you..

You are joking again right?
Abbaddabba
Why would i pay off anything?

Im talking about when i flop no pair / no draw.

It only has to get folds 1/4.5 times. If i do this against a player who has the same mindset of people on this forum, i will get folds from probably more than 50% of their hand range against a mid to late position raise.

Im not saying people arent right hwen they say to fold. Obviously i thought so too, because i did fold.

But against people who think this, you dont think that it's highly probable that you get folds from more than 1/4.5 hands?
Actuary
Tim tells me against good players you can call sometimes.
Randomly.

as I said above, that is a play i use often.
Ironically, you have to identify "good" players to do it against, since such a small percentage of people are willing to fold.

also, one of the first things i note on someone is their propensity to gaybet, and the types of hands they do it with. if i can get decent info of this type on someone, it is extremely helpful.

finally, a buried gem from Johnny Sac's posts:
"A side note it is often good to bet your good hands"
- good advice
