"how do i change my mailing address to order something from the store"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
** You are now speaking with Stephen - Full Contact Poker, Full Contact Poker Support. **
Stephen - Full Contact Poker : Hello.
BlueFCP : hello
Stephen - Full Contact Poker : May I have your username please?
BlueFCP : XXX
Stephen - Full Contact Poker : Thank you. Please hold while I pull up your account.
BlueFCP : ok
Stephen - Full Contact Poker : Thank you for holding.
Stephen - Full Contact Poker : In order to change your address, you must send us a proof of address.
Stephen - Full Contact Poker : Do you have any phone bills?
BlueFCP : why
Stephen - Full Contact Poker : It is just for security reasons.
BlueFCP : but if iv'e signed in and used my password, what's the security concern?
Stephen - Full Contact Poker : One moment please.
Stephen - Full Contact Poker : If you don't have any new address, you can just send us any photo ID in your name, or anything official.
BlueFCP : can you help me understand the problem with me just typing it in here?
BlueFCP : most poker sites simply let you change your address at will
Stephen - Full Contact Poker : Because we don't want anyone to impersonation to steal your check.
Stephen - Full Contact Poker : It is just our policy. I apologize for the inconvenience.
BlueFCP : i use neteller....and it's to place an order at the store...a card cover spinner
BlueFCP : if someone hacked my account, don' you think they could just switch neteller accounts?
Stephen - Full Contact Poker : I understand your concerns. I am just following procedures.
BlueFCP : to whom would i speak about changing a bad procedure?
BlueFCP : do you have access to my account, stephen?
Stephen - Full Contact Poker : Yes.
BlueFCP : so if i was to tell you my new address was 7106 Jones Drive Mississauga Ontario Canada, A1A 1A1, couldn't you just change it?
Stephen - Full Contact Poker : I'm sorry. I cannot do that.
BlueFCP : really? i'm not telling anyone...
BlueFCP : and if you're taking notes about suggestions, these kinds of complicated procedures to do something simple will kill your site
Stephen - Full Contact Poker : I have notified the managers. They are working on a easier way to change your addres. At the moment, we still have to go through this.
BlueFCP : even though my account is on your screen and you could change it in five seconds...
BlueFCP : is there a manager around who could authorize it?
Stephen - Full Contact Poker : They have told me the same thing. They just said that you can send anything like a picture ID or a utility bill of your old address if you do not have a bill with your new address.
BlueFCP : regardless...it will have to wait until tomorrow...don't have a fax machine at home
BlueFCP : my driver's licence has my new address...will that suffice?
Stephen - Full Contact Poker : Again, I apologize for the inconvenience that this may have caused.
Stephen - Full Contact Poker : That will do.
BlueFCP : thank you
Stephen - Full Contact Poker : You can send it by fax or email us.
BlueFCP : i'll be in touch tomorrow
Stephen - Full Contact Poker : Alright. Anything else for today?
BlueFCP : nothing that wouldn't be more complicated
Stephen - Full Contact Poker : Hahaha... Have a good one.
BlueFCP : thank you...you too
Stephen - Full Contact Poker : Bye.
Vatche

Don't you people have scanners?

Seriously, I'm sick of this bitching. If you weren't underage, or broke,
or both, you'd just scan your goddamned drivers licence and email it
and the address would be changed instantly.

They have policies. You accepted their terms when you signed up.
If you don't like it, tough shit. They're protecting both you and themselves.
Get over it.

Then why the drama? He's whining like a 14 year old kid.
He could scan his license and email it in 30 seconds.
Plus, how many threads have we seen with the same types
of concern about verifications, etc, etc, etc?

Why is this thread titled "support sucks"? The guy is doing his job, and being courteous to boot. If you think the policy sucks, make that your thread. I dont like everything about FCP, but I can say that support has always done a good job when I've contacted them.

I agree 100%. Even though Blue is my boy you must understand that he is old and senile and it doesnt take much to send him over the edge. The support guy was doing his job, but the policy although it can be justified and understood is weak and a bit unnecessary.
