QUOTE (canateian)
Is there any set way to play top set on a suited flop and a bet into you? Is it an always raise situation, or is it completly read dependent? Any help appreciated, thank you
Also depends on how many players. If it is a heads up pot to the flop...a flopped flush is more unlikely and you can MAYBE slowplay depending on reads. Even then though....not a good idea to give cards too cheaply on a draw heavy board.
If it is 3 or more to the flop..I never slowplay a set on a 3-suited flop....there is usually someone willing to draw and no way you can give a free card to four players. Play this aggressively and if everyone folds and you don't get "paid off," then so be it, it is better than slowplaying and allowing someone to outrun you.
Also, of course, reads are very important.
