The Pistons finally traded Darko. It's about time.

Darko Milicic and Carlos Arroyo are going to the Magic and in return the Pistons get Kelvin Cato and a future first round pick (some conditions apply of course). The Pistons are making the move so that they can have money to sign their own free agents next year (since Cato's contract expires). Its a good move.

What the Pistons will never admit is that they screwed up by taking Darko in the first place. Everyone, including the Pistons, knew Darko was a project. And you cant develop projects when you're trying to win titles. When you're trying to win titles, you play your star players big minutes. And you will also need the cap space to keep those same proven star players. There is no time and money to develop a project like that. I think Joe Dumars has done a great job, but he screwed that one up bad.



BTW, in the other half of the trade the Magic got a point guard in Arroyo. Look for the Magic to dump Steve Francis for some aging washed up veteran. Its the only they can move Francis and his huge contract AND tank the rest of the season in order to get the highest lottery pick possible.

The starting 5 is all you need if you're a Pistons fan. As long as that group stays together, they could become a dynasty.

Getting a 1st round pick is a GREAT idea.

I think they are already in the process of becoming a dynasty..World Champions..then one game short of World Champions..and looking unstoppable this year....

dallas mavericks = 3rd best team in the West??? lol...I think it is a Suns v Pistons NBA finals we're going to see..Phoenix is going to be T-O-U-G-H once they get Amare back.......Spurs are awesome too, but I think they could get beat by Nash's boys.
