Table is very loose and pretty passive. In general this is an easy preflop fold for me, but I was trying something new. I think I misplayed this pretty badly but am having trouble finding a line I like. It think i'm probably biased by the results so I thought I'd post it.

Looks good until the river. Monsters under the bed raise the turn most of the time.

Lots of worse hands call since the pot is so big. River looks like a clear value bet.

Usually if someone had a queen you'd have heard about it by now. The only hand I would be worried about there is AK-AT. With loose passive opponents, though, you've gotta bet the river fairly frequently (something I'm working on these days) for value. If they're willing to call down there with TT-KK or something of the sort, get some value from them. I think there's definitely value in a bet there, win or lose.

bet/fold river is what you're talking about right?

I figured since fish like to call with an ace... and a LOT of them were calling there was most probably an ace out there... But in hindsight, if I can bet/fold that and rarely ever fold the best hand, I only need to be ahead like 25% of the time.

Betting is good in big pots in general. There's a small chance that you fold better hands (you only have to do this a small amount of time for it to be profitable) and a TON of worse hands will call since the odds are so good.

why would you fold A6s preflop on a loose passive table?

what are you gonig to do if someone bets river?

I'd call one, but not over call, probably.
