Has anyone been to this one? I have family in San Luis Obispo, and was hoping to check it out on my next visit out west. The website says there's a poker room. I was wondering if it's any good.

If this is the one near Solvang (danish town in CA), then we dropped by about a year ago. It looks really nice from the outside; however, we had the kids with us and they wouldn't even let us set foot inside the building - we got stopped by a guard as we were parking in the parking garage.

The Chumash poker room is decent, but I've only been up there on weekends when the entire casino is busy and the waiting lists have been long. I seem to remember them having 20+ tables.

I go up there to play 21 anyway. They have some pretty liberal blackjack rules like being able to re-split aces 4x and playing multiple spots without having to double and triple the minimums.

Chumash is not the place to go to drink though. They don't sell, much less give away free drinks at the tables. There is only one restaurant there that serves beer and booze and you have to order food to get a drink poured.

The whole place has been expanded recently though and it is pretty nice there. I prefer Chumash to the Indian casinos around Palm Springs and and around SD.
