Could there seriously be more bullshit?

This is too deep. I'll post later.

Yes, but could there seriously be more censored?
TheLadiezMan
Maybe theres a new rule change that says your shoulder can cross the goal line but the ball doesn't have to as long as your in possesion of it. That was the worst call ever. I really don't think they could of been any more blatantly in favor of the Steelers but that's just my opinion. Someone should toughen these refs up.
phlegm
Dont forget the nonexistent holding call, and the pass interference inthe endzone that didnt really happen. Those two calls alone cost seattle 14 points
RonBurgundy
there were 2 HORRIBLE calls, the pass interference was a push. it doesnt matter if its a slight push. he pushed off to get better position. end of story. good call. the 2 bad calls were the phantom holding and the apparent clipping? call on hasselbeck's tackle after he threw the pick. stop whining. you lost. not gonna change a thing. big ben got the ball across in the air as well.

Yeah, he was awesome....

9/21, 123 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT's

22.9 QB rating

C'mon, I'm giving the Steelers their props, but let's not get dillusional.
phlegm
Personally i didnt care who won. I am not a fan of either.

Its very possible the steelers woulda won even if the game was called perfectly. The fact of the matter is seatle lost 14 points and the steelers gained seven directly related to bad calls. I dont think the refs r crooks, just bad.,

I heard once that super bowl refs r not chosen by merit, but by rotation. Does anyone know if thats true?

i meant across the goalline jerk, on that bootleg for the first steelers TD. in the air as in, before the LB knocked the ball back.

the refs didn't get paid, they dropped by the wynn to check out the big game and dropped couple grand on the steelers on the way

ps: ppl keeps saying those calls only would be a 7 points turnaround, u r probably one of those nerds that never played sports and always acted like you know ur playbooks during sundays with ur buddies,
playing with a bigger lead and sitting on that lead is soooooo much different than playing a tied game

so quit acting like the pts would only be changed slightly, dumbest thing i ever heard

i think my pinky can push harder than djack's right arm if that PI call was a push

if that was a PI, nfl should erase every single catch michael irvin ever made in his hall of fame career

wait, better yet, they should take the cowboy's rings back.

wait...EVEN BETTER!! take the superbowl back before steelers get on the plane!!!!

fyp. and you are just basically an idiot, all anyone has to do is search your posts and you immediately lose any credibility you might have had. it was a push, it advanced DJ's position and worsened the corner's. i dont even know why i'm trying to argue with you, you're not going to listen, and i'm fairly sure you can't even read.
Pupsta
i guess it is legal in the NFL now to shove someone to get a better placement on the ball....or at least would be if forumjp = paul tagliabue.
RonBurgundy
i think forumjp may be the most unintentionally funny poster since redpill came on the scene. check out his wisdom in the official super bowl thread.

right...i must have missed the webster's change in the definition of push, so i guess now it means to gently place ur hands on a mass of body and gently lift ur hands off it

ur convincing
RonBurgundy
on a mass of body? wow, seriously, keep posting. ur cracking me up.

this years refs sucked in the playoffs. i don't think if anyone could every buy out the refs, but anything is possible.

they messed up in almost every single playoff game with big calls and a few big ones in the SB

What is so sad is that the Steeler haters would have said if the Seahwaks got the same calls and WON that it was not luck but great playing. Even with all the so called bad calls, the Seahawks looked flat, and the Steelers looked flat also. But to say that the Seahawks are a better team is all jealousy. So sad all the so called "sportsminds" on this forum cant admit to a bad game by the Hawks and the Steelers dug down deep for a win. Where was the great Defense on the Parker run and the Randel El pass? Must have been holding somewhere right?

gkunit20
Wanna know what's funny?

A friend of mine predicted a twenty-ten final score.
speedz99
1. Roth did get the ball over the line
2. that was a hold in the end zone
3. the phantom hold and phantom clipping were just two bad calls...and relatively inconsequential at that. they in no way decided the game.

:boohoo:
crazyIvan
I can't believe you guys have missed the obvious connection. On-line poker and the NFL are both rigged.

The seahawks just didn't bring out their tin-foil hats. Simple as that.

I missed the phantom hold and clip. Someone wanna explain?

1) flag thrown for a shot to the head on Ward early in the game... and then, mysteriously, there's no foul. You threw the flag for a reason. It's a penalty, and everyone saw on the replay a shot to the head.

2) On the long interception return, CLEARLY a block in the back when Roethlisberger got blocked. That brings the ball back to near mid-field, rather than being around the 20. HUGE difference.

Steelers won though, so nobody is mentioning those. Bad calls go both ways in every game. Deal with it.

I saw those. The back block really was a bad foul.

Actually, the flag was for helmet to helmet contact. It's not illegal to contact someone's helmet with your shoulder, which is what the seahawk did. It's clear from the replays that picking up the flag was the right decision.

Yes, but the missed block in the back? That should have been a foul too. Had the Seahawks scored, that would have been a penalty that would have been talked about as well.

The Seahawks did score, and made it a 4 point game at the time.

3 defensive starters injured. Including a lineman and safety.

facts are facts steelers won...

end of story now quit whining..

bad calls happen in every sport get over it...

they will never redo the game....

lmao..
RonBurgundy
i just watched the game again and i take back what i said. there were not 2 obviously bad calls. there was one. the "phantom" hold was anything but. Locklear clearly grabs Haggans' jersey and drags him to the ground as he's coming around the edge.

I'm going to say it was thrown because from the angle the ref that threw the flag was at, it looked like forearm to head contact, which IS illegal. When the refs got together, one with another angle said he didn't contact his head with the forearm. So, they made the CORRECT call and picked up the flag.

It's rigged.

I'm just glad it's over; football sucks.

As a Seattle fan, all I have to say is in the picture below.

Why are we all so upset anyway? Is it because we got our hopes up when we of all people should have known before the game there was NO WAY anyone was going to let us win. Darryl Jackson said it right "It's hard to win when they send the world against you."

Are we really that naive to think we stood a chance to start with? Has this not happened to us so many times before where the league, refs, etc. screw us out of a sure win? And I'm not even a conspiracy theorist in anything else, but I am when it comes to Seattle sports franchises. The last thing anyone could stand in this country is if a team from Seattle (or Washington state) won a national championship in anything.

It's just that we are dumb enough to think we'll be given a fair shake every year and like that puppy that continually gets smacked on top of the head and is told to go away, we dutifully return every time just so we can get smacked again. It's sickening the torture we put ourselves through. Never again will I be duped ... at least until next time.
