$20+2 on party, 916 entrants down to about 380. just before the first break, avg stack is around 2000. top 100 pay.

villain has played tag so far and has shown down some decent hands.

UTG raises to t200.

Flop: (t475) J:club:, 5:heart:, 7:club: (2 players)
UTG bets t225, UTG calls t375.

Turn: (t1675) A:spade: (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero checks.

River: (t1675) 9:club: (2 players)
UTG bets t600 , UTG calls t50.

Final Pot: t2325

comments on all streets appreciated. especially pre-flop and flop. once he cold calls the flop raise i figure im beat.

If he's TAG, an UTG raise means youre behind or on a coin flip at best. If a couple of overcards flop youre in a tough spot to call a continuation bet, so youre really in close to set or fold situation. Since you dont have anywhere near the implied odds for a set, that decision is fold.

You are "OOP" for a stop and go.

On the flip side with a below average stack this far from the money its tough to give up on a medium pair if you think youre on a coin flip. So Im tossed up between calling and folding pre-flop.

Once you get to the flop and only one overcard comes I think a push to his bet is clear. Your raise to 600 puts over half your starting stack in the middle and you have no desire to see any more cards.

I wouldn't consider that river YOUR gin card, but it could have been your opponents... 8)
