Im playing right now so I can't look more than I have. I can't find where the article says anything about NL being 40% and limit being 50%.
"Being in the money 50% of the time is something you can achieve. Attaining this statistic is not easy (though no doubt I will hear to the contrary from many of you). If you can achieve 50% in the money, in the higher end OTLHT, you will easily achieve a six-figure income. You can do the math on this one yourself. An even lower percentage will still allow you to earn six figures a year."
"This is why I recommend the all-in betting strategy in No Limit tourneys. All in betting, selectively.
Remember one thing, the higher money level you play, the more aggressive the players become. Achieving a 40% in the money percentage in $100 tourneys will allow you to earn at least $50,000 a year."
If you were back to talking about Limit for the 40%/$50,000 it should have been separated from the NL discussion or most readers would make the same "mistake" I made.
My bad on the overall achievablity of 50% though. I was thinking in terms of ROI (which is really whats important for estimating earning potential..50% ITM with all 3rd places isnt the road to riches), not ITM percentages, where 50% is a minimum target. Average play gets you to 33 1/3%, after all.
In STTs bubble and shortstack play is what its all about. If you had something to contribute beyond (or even translating into English) Eastbay's 2+2 discussions and SnG PowerTools, that would be a worthwhile article.
