Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is Button with [Qc], [Ah].
2 folds, Hero calls.

Flop: (7 SB) [6d], [As], [Ac] (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (4.50 BB) [7s] (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

River: (6.50 BB) [9d] (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 12.50 BB

villian was tight/solid
nothing too special

plan was to call down and raise the river
this seemed like a wa/wb situation and i didn't mind him betting into me the whole way

you may ask why i raised the river if i thought it was wa/wb- i figured at this point he wouldn't 3 bet with a lot of hands here but still call with something like JJ or QQ.

im' sure folding to the 3 bet is correct but the pot is too large imo

don't think i played this one too well

i think waiting for the river to raise is fine

i might cap preflop

you can't fold to the river 3-bet
PoppinFresh
I think folding to the 3-bet is a mistake, the pot is pretty big.

Your line looks good.

Basically all you're behind is AK or a turned / rivered set in 77 or 99.

A solid player is 3-betting you with a huge range of hands preflop that could easily include AK-A9, just about every suited broadway and just about any pocket pair.

I'm probly raising the flop, unlikely he puts you on Ax as he'd expect a slow play and hes calling down with most pps.
CoranMoran
I cap this preflop.

My tendency is to raise the turn.

You can't fold anywhere.

Will villain 3-bet AT from the SB here? Or, will he value bet all streets with KK-JJ? If either answer is yes, I like your line.

If not, I like either a turn (or flop) raise or a simple calldown (and bet the river if he checks), depending on whether you think villain would pay off with KK-JJ if you raise the turn (or flop).

Given your description of villain, I think I raise the turn.

(If villain is aggressive preflop, or is willing to fold AK postflop, I would cap preflop.)

I would raise earlier than the river mainly because I dont like counting on someone to keep betting into me. Here, the SB did bet the river, and I wonder if that's having some influence on the responses.

I usually play it fast in sutiations like this. I would just raise the flop, and hope he doesnt believe me and check/rasies me on the turn.

you are right.

i want a read that SB is pretty aggro but can also fold when raised before i do this line.
