do any of you guys play on pokerstars?

If you do, what are the promotions (if any) that they offer to new signup memebers and what are some of the features that make it better?

Pokerstars doesn't have any sign up bonuses. They offer periodic reloads that can be a pain to clear. The only good thing about it is that there are a lot of crappy players and they have good tournaments.

you'll probably get a lot of replies that it's rigged or something. i think that's just a sign that players on the site suck. personally, i both enjoyed the level of play (poor) and the site interface.
unfortunately they don't offer any bonuses, except for the periodic ones as shiny mentioned.

if you're looking for poker books though, you can accumulate enough FPP points to get them relatively quicker than most other sites.

Mmm. It's one of the easiest to clear. Especially if you wait for their double FPPs promotion period. Plus, the cash value for the FPP you gain while clearing it is very good, with all the books they have in the FPP shop and stuff...

That is the only time that they are worth doing unless you play at 2/4 or greater.
