3/6 5 max FCP

I have J icon_suit_club.gif Q icon_suit_spade.gif in CO
1 fold, I raise, Button folds, SB calls, BB folds.

Flop: (5 SB) K icon_suit_heart.gif 5 icon_suit_spade.gif Q icon_suit_diamond.gif
SB bets, I call.

Turn: (3.5 BB) 3 icon_suit_spade.gif
SB bets, I call.

River: (5.5 BB) T icon_suit_club.gif
SB bets, I call.

SB liked to donk flops against my steals. At first this confused me, but then I find that if I raise, SB usually gives up.

LOL

I found the 5/10 6-max players on PR do this a lot too.

This is the right way to play it given the player description. If you're hand were stronger, say KJ, you might want to pop the river.

First off, was he only donk betting the flops or would he continue on later streets if you only called? On all streets?

With how you describe the SB, it sounds like you're probably in a fairly standard way ahead/way behind case so calling is good. However, I would still strongly consider raising the turn since you picked up the flush draw so you can't be too far behind or he may have enough of a hand to actually call the raise with the various straight/flush/pair hands that could reasonably see a river.

Zara... look closely. No flush draw.
bdams19
yup, no flush draw. I like this line with all the donk betting i've seen recently.

I would descrine this hand as.... standardly standard.

There is absolutely no reason to invest more chips in this hand, IMO.

Hehe, so it is. In that case, the only calling is perfect! laugh.gif

I love having position on people who find it impossible to give up the lead once they take a stab at the pot on the flop with a marginal hand.
