Dear Fellow FCP'ers,

Many of you may not recognize me, as I have stayed out of General the last few months, primarily because it hurts my head. However, I feel the need to try to add something postitive here, as it was once, and once again can be, a great please to meet and converse with friends.

There have been a lot of posts about the content of this forum going down hill. There have been a lot posts about why this place sucks.

I'd like to take a second to comment, and try to point out some things we can all do to make it better, rather than post about the things that have gone wrong.

Veterans, Stop complaing about Newbs, and Set an example for what you want the forum to be...
Certainly, during the Charter Member push, a lot of new people didn't help the overall post quality, but there are a lot of poeple who have been here a long time who only flamed the newbies, and weren't adding anythin of quality either. If people didn't flame the stupid stuff, it might just die.

It would be nice if people posted content, but there are a lot of Veteran posters making similar useless thereads, and when they get locked, they just start a thread called "This is a useless thread to complain that my other useless thread was locked" to draw more attention to themselves.

Just get over it.

Lay off the moderators, or find other avenues to disagree with them rather than contaminating the formus...
There are people who argue that the site is over-moderated. Then I see posts asking why the Mods don't clean up threads that are made over and over and over.

Well, the mods can't be here all hours, and when they do delete threads, they get bombarede by the new threads asking why.

There's also constant attacks on the moderators, which is silly. You may not like the mods that were chosen, and you may disagree with some of the choices they make, but threads bashing them are just immature. Whether you like them or not, they are all people who have been a part of this community for a long time, and are very passionate about FCP. They want to make this place the best it can be.

I have seen each and every mod offer everyone the opportunity to PM them to discuss locked threads in a civilized manner. Unfortunatley, I'd assume very few in here use that channel to discuss their opinions. Rather, they turn it into a ridiculous flame contest.

Lay off the useless flames, that only keep wortless topics at the top of the board...
I'm by no means advocating for people to stop flaming. Some of the flames and jabs are what makes this place great. However, I aslo enjoy this forum more than say, NWP, which I do lurk, because I think there is a certain dignity in this forum that lacks in other forums.

Set the example for how you want the forum, and fellow poster to be...
Let's all try to uphold the spirit and beliefs that Daniel has instilled in this forum, and make it a place for meaningful discussion with friends, rather than attacking someone because they're new, or old, or just plain stupid attention whores. The best way to neutralize them, is to not give them the attention they crave.

I like this forum a lot though and I think its quality far surpasses most on the net.

I enjoy most of the irreverance but hardly ever have a problem getting a serious answer to a serious question. I think the "General" forum kind of implies that we can post less serious or more off-beat poker related things here and it's OK.

Cher Camarade FCP'ers, Bon nombre d'entre vous peuvent ne pas m'identifier, car je suis resté hors du général les derniers mois, principalement parce qu'il blesse ma tête. Cependant, je sens la nécessité d'essayer d'ajouter quelque chose de postitive ici, comme il était par le passé, et de nouveau peux veuillez être, un grand pour se réunir et converser avec des amis. Je voudrais prendre une seconde au commentaire, et essaye de préciser quelques choses que nous pouvons tout faire pour le rendre meilleur, plutôt que poteau au sujet des choses qui ont mal tourné. Les vétérans, arrêt complaing au sujet de Newbs, et placent un exemple pour ce que vous voulez que soit le forum... Certainement, pendant la poussée de membre fondateur, un bon nombre de nouveaux gens n'a pas aidé la qualité globale de poteau, mais il y a beaucoup de poeple qui ont été ici une longue période qui a seulement flambé les internautes novice, et n'ajoutaient pas l'anythin de la qualité non plus. Si les gens ne flambaient pas la substance stupide, elle pourrait juste mourir. Il serait gentil si les gens signalaient le contenu, mais il y a beaucoup d'affiches de vétéran faisant les thereads inutiles semblables, et quand ils deviennent verrouillés, ils commencent juste un fil appelé "ceci est un fil inutile pour se plaindre que mon autre fil inutile était verrouillé" pour appeler plus d'attention sur eux-mêmes. Obtenez juste au-dessus de lui. Congédiez les modérateurs, ou trouvez d'autres avenues pour être en désaccord avec elles plutôt que de souiller le formus... Il y a les gens qui arguent du fait que l'emplacement au-dessus-est modéré. Alors je vois des poteaux demandant pourquoi le Mods ne nettoient pas les fils qui sont faits à plusieurs reprises et plus de. Bien, les mods ne peuvent pas être ici toutes les heures, et quand ils suppriment des fils, ils obtiennent le bombarede par les nouveaux fils demandant pourquoi. Il y a également des attaques constantes sur les modérateurs, qui est idiot. Vous ne pouvez pas aimer les mods qui ont été choisis, et vous pouvez être en désaccord avec certains des choix qu'ils font, mais les fils les frappant sont simplement non mûrs. Que vous les aimiez ou pas, ils sont toutes les personnes qui ont été une partie de cette communauté pendant longtemps, et sont très passionnés au sujet de FCP. Ils veulent faire à cet endroit le meilleur qu'il peut être. J'ai vu chaque mod donner à chacun l'occasion au P.M. ils de discuter les fils verrouillés d'une façon civilisée. Unfortunatley, je supposerais que très peu dans ici utilisent ce canal pour discuter leurs avis. Plutôt, ils le transforment en concours ridicule de flamme. Congédiez les flammes inutiles, celle seulement des matières wortless de subsistance au dessus du conseil... Je préconise nullement pour que les personnes arrêtent flamboyant. Certaines des flammes et enfonçent sont ce qui rend cet endroit grand. Cependant, l'aslo de I apprécient ce forum davantage que disent, NWP, que je menace, parce que je pense il y a une certaine dignité dans ce forum qui manque dans d'autres forum. Placez l'exemple pour la façon dont vous voulez le forum, et l'affiche de camarade pour être... Tout l'essai confirmons l'esprit et la croyance que Daniel a inculquée dans ce forum, et faisons-lui un endroit pour la discussion signicative avec des amis, plutôt que d'attaquer quelqu'un parce qu'ils sont nouveaux, ou de vieilles, ou juste plates putains stupides d'une attention. I don't understand why people think General Forum sucks. I find it very entertaining. I laugh at this stuff everyday. I enjoy it when there are multiple threads on same subject. I think it is hilarious.
