This is one of my favorite events all year.
All kinds of talent on the field.
I'm interested to see this Jay Cutler, from Vandy. Chris Mortensen from ESPN said he's moving up the charts and might be the best QB in the draft.

yeah....Jay Cutler a better QB than Vince Young.........right. He is pretty good from what I have seen/heard..but I wouldn't say he is the single best in the draft. Definitely an overlooked talent though. .

Would you care to make a small wager that Young ends up being a below average NFL QB? At best, he'll be a marginal starter in the NFL.

I tend to agree with this. I think you'd almost have to rework an entire offense around him. Kinda like Kordell Stewart in his little rush at Pittsburgh.

Touchdown Brodie Croyle!!!!!!!!!!! I JUST flipped over to the game..and that is the very first play I saw.
Also...I was under the assumption that Demeco Ryans was in the game. Could be wrong there.
Also...Young is going to be better than a "mediocre QB" or whatever. He runs tougher than Vick and throws a lot better than Vick...so....he'll be better than Michael Vick....

I don't know if you can really be certain about the validity of Vick's throwing motion and it's success until he gets on the field.
I could see him being an All-Pro and I could see him being a bust.

better than michael vick isn't saying much IMO. matt schaub would be better for the falcs than vick. he's a liability.
young may be a better passer than vick, but vick's blinding speed is what makes him the most dangerous player in the nfl.
(yes, that sounds contradictory, saying he's the most dangerous player in the nfl while also saying he's overrated, but both are correct)

The bills won't get the chance to take Coyle.
Leinart would fit in good in New Orleans, which is where people are projecting him to go.
Young could be a very good QB in Tennesee. I think he's more of a system QB, and they have the right system.
Coyle will probably go to the Jets. I hear people are growing tired of Pennington.

The Bills need about 43 spots/leaks filled. They'll take the best available if it's a long snapper at this point.

I understand that putting your best athlete at QB in college is a sound game plan, but, it just rarely translates to the NFL when you put the WR-type athlete at QB.

The problem with Croyle is that as the season wore on, his O-line had injury problems and towards the end..he just had absolutely ZERO protection from the O-line...and of course you can't do too much as a QB with no time. He's always had the arm....and he is actually fairly mobile (considering his knee injuries), but he just had no protection.

That's true.
It's kinda tough to get a real read on someone's capabilities when there's not a lot to work with around them.
Not really fair to judge the kid with no O-line.
Kinda like a lot of the scouts were cuious how Greenway and Hodge would do without Roth/Babineaux/Robinson.
By the way, from the 04 Iowa Team, assuming Antwan Allen, Jovon Johnson, Chad Greenway and Abdul Hodge get drafted, there will be 8 players from that starting defense in the NFL. Just FYI.
