My first instinct is to put a blocking bet out. Bet the same amount as the turn which will keep him from bluffing and will likely raise if he was calling with k icon_suit_diamond.gif j icon_suit_diamond.gif . However, the problem with this is that if he does raise over us, we're only going to have to call $200 into a $1000 pot and probably have to call.

This comes down to what you make of the opponent's passiveness on the flop. If he had a draw, like k icon_suit_diamond.gif j icon_suit_diamond.gif I think some players would raise and others would call as he may feel they have little fold equity. If he has a set, then most people would likely raise this flop. Some people will slowplay, but if he puts u on your hand or AK or so, he should be raising to build the pot.

So unless, he made a silly play, I would say that your line depends onhow he plays his draws. i am honestly only worried about kj and kq icon_suit_diamond.gif here.

I had just sat down at table about 10 inutes prior. Yet to have any reads on the guy.

Standard player, I block bet and hope he calls behind me. I don't think there's much you can do here. I don't know.... check/folding here seems very weak... but I really can't put him on any hand besides diamonds. What is strong enough to call but not raise? Only thing I come to is a draw and almost everything got there. I changed my mind....

I was thinking about the same 2 hands and maybe jq icon_suit_diamond.gif but it now it seems like so many people love to call raises with the small suited cards there could be a number of options there. I agree its all read based though. He may have a decent ace and just trying to get off as cheap as possible. Pretty bad line but it happens.

q6 of diamonds. Cost me 150 on end. well all together it cost me plenty more but hey. Gotta love a guy who will call allthe way with that hand.
He also just called my 160 so i can't complain too much. Chase the whole way and then call and not raise weak valueesqe bet on river. Cest La Vie

See I like the block bet here, but betting less on the river than the turn seems strange. i know you did this because if you bet the turn amount you basically stuck yourself and would have to call. Ridiculous that he just called. If i was him with a ten in my hand I probably would have pushed here.

yeah that's what i'm thinking too. although i sometimes like to bet small on the river with nut or quasi nut hands to ensure getting paid off or maybe hoping for reraise.

I'd have called i think. Regrettably
