I think I do. In all reality I really don't care, it was just interesting to see. I know you guys are all about being exclusive, which is fine. I lurk there every now and then and for the most part think there's some good stuff in there.

I won't try to make up for myself by going back and trying to answer the "who are you" question to the liking of the masses, but I will say that the posters who I've seen elsewhere in OT and on the forum overall I have no problem with. You, DD and a few others I feel bring a lot to OT, and I'm glad to have you guys here. The others that only post in that thread I don't have much knowledge of.

Sorry, guess I got my panties in a wad on that one. I just get really tired of the army getting bashed. We're just a group of friends who want to hang out and chill with each other. We tend to be a sarcastic group so things like "who the fuck are you" we find funny. It's not about exclusivity at all but if you've lurked there then you know that there's some off color, some personal, and some questionable conversations there that wouldn't be allowed in any other part of the forum. So we tend to protect our little piece of this place to save it from becoming like the rest of the forum. It's really not about excluding people and that's a common misperception. I am sorry that a lot of people think we don't welcome people because we really do. We have lots of new members since the original 10 or so. But we do try to make sure that new people are going to fit in and not endanger our little corner over there by being offended by what we talk about or whatever. So, if "who the fuck are you" offends you then it's best that we get that out of the way and send you packing early. See what I mean? I don't think that's exclusive. I think it's protective.

Anyway, sorry if I got defensive but I have to defend it a lot and it gets tiresome.

The Tool av was in honor of "favorite band day" in the army. (Yeah, we're goofy like that.) It might make a return appearance someday.

It's all good. I do understand what you guys are doing, and it's not that I was offended by the "WTFAY" thing, bc I wasn't and am not nearly that sensitive. Just realize that, since it is just some text in a box, and tone and such are eliminated, it can come off as snooty and condescending if you don't realize. I understand you dont mean it in a "Shoo! You commoner! You're not good enough for us" kind of way, but that's just because I lurk occasionally and have seen it.

My OP was meant to be more dry humor than offended, but since, again, it's just some text in a box, it came off as me being pissy, and I apologize if that was what you took from it.

i hope there are no hard feelings about that, i have nothing against the army...i was a little upset and reacted on emotions(i hardly posted in the UYPCT, it was more about the principal[and i know u guys had nothing to do with it])...i regret starting that thread and the 6 pages of bickering.
