Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is UTG with [Jh], [Js].
Hero raises, MP calls, Button calls, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: (20 SB) [4d], [7d], [Kc] (5 players)
SB checks, BB bets, MP calls, Button folds, SB folds, BB calls.

Turn: (13 BB) [7c] (3 players)
BB bets, MP calls, BB calls.

River: (19 BB) [9h] (3 players)
BB checks, Hero checks, ....

I'm calling a bet on the river unless MP bets and BB checkraises, in which case I think I have to fold, right?

Reads: MP is new to table. Button is a solid, very aggressive player. SB and BB are donkeys. BB's donkbetting here could mean anything.

Main question is the turn raise.

Man, I guess MP is dying to hit that flush draw. Oh well.

About the BB, exactly what type of donkey is this guy. Unless he's actually playing his hand blind, I wouldnt be raising the turn.

The BB calling 2 cold on the flop is nothing unusual. But even most donkeys wont lead into a capper and a 3-better (button) when a K hits the board. After he calls your raise, he then leads out on the turn when the board pairs. I'd start slowing down here.

And the turn raise wont isolate you against MP. That guy called 2 cold preflop and then again on the flop. He's gonna see that river.

I think the raise was a spew, as prince said.

I thought about folding, but I'm not sure - BB really loved to donkbet, and sometimes his bets made little or no sense.

(Example, on an earlier hand I remember, he was defending the BB against my EP raise heads-up with 95o, and he check-called a KJT flop, and then donkbet a K turn.)

I remembered that hand and thought maybe he was just bluffing or semibluffing now that I had thinned the field and the board had paired.

(It wasn't just that hand; he had been made some really senseless bets in multiway pots as well.)

But, he would usually donkbet his legit hands as well, so he could easily have a 7 or a K here. His play in general was so erratic that I really can't put him on any kind of specific range here.

But overall, I was basically lost, so I fell back on trying a raise again.

Sorry. I missed the reads.

Call/call seems best. Fold if it get's raised.
