Villain is passive pf. Only bets flop when he has TP or better. Often bet/fold bluffs on turn and river w/ scare cards.

Villain also had the "raise any" button clicked, indicating he has a strong hand.

Only bets flop when he has something

The key here is that there is plenty of room for him to "have something" and still be behind to your Kings.

If he has 77-QQ, this is a great flop for him and he may play it this way to see where he is at.

I cap the flop.
I don't consider slowing down until he shows aggression after that.

What are we afraid of?
AA,66?

I was scared of a 5.

edit: read is more specifically only bets flop when he has TP or better.

I cap flop, and call down after that if he still bets on the turn.

Yep I do the same.

Real weak fold.

Was he loose-passive preflop?
Have you seen him limp from utg with hands that included a 5?

Seems like an unlikely holding.
And I don't think you can give it much weight... yet.
Until you cap the flop and then he fires again on the turn.

He was loose passive pf but i definately should cap and then reevaltue if he fires another on the turn.

No, i make a living off playing .50/1 pretty badly...

what about a flop call of the 3-bet, and turn raise?
TJ_Eckleburg
Hmmmm...

I think a flop cap, then call down, is the best way to deal with this. Position means soooooo much... and capping the flop and making him keep leading in to you does SO much more than calling the 3-bet and folding.

I think you can fold if BB check/raises, too.

As played, I think the turn was a pretty bad fold. How loose is he preflop? Tight/passive UTG's don't limp with many 5's.

I spotted a leak.

Okay everyone... we've got a good consensus that the turn fold is bad. Let's not rub it in... and let's seek to provide constructive feedback.

I can't elegantly explain my thoughts on this, but I'll try:

I think that would be much worse than a flop-cap-and-call-down-plan, and here's why. Let's assume the choices are either a) flop-cap-and-call-down, or b) call 3-bet and raise turn.

The only hands we're losing to are a 5, 66, or AA and all are unlikely, given preflop action or by combinations, and we're ahead of everything else. We also have outs to beat all those hands, but only 2 outs.

With position, for a flop cap, the pot is bigger on the flop in A than it is in B. For the greater aggression on the flop, the pot is bigger for the turn or river. This makes our odds not as bad when drawing, the aggression will slow down AA, and we have position if he's passive (like you said) so we could check through if he checks the turn.

And of course we get value when we're ahead.

Basically, my complaint against B is that if we're behind, we lose more $$.

Sorry if this came off as a flame, I more or less just tried to say, "don't fold the turn." while showcasing my nack (knack?) for making masterpiece computer doodles
