eck. Way too many white hat preps have always wanted me to play this song, or me seeing them have it be the only song they know at a show has compeltely ruined it for me

Sorry, I still like the song though....was the first song I ever heard by them too. Out of all the ones on the list I provided, I say go with "Wading in the Velvet Sea", an underrated gem of theirs.

Obviously I have heard of Phish, but I have never heard one of their songs in my life.

They are a great band. I dabble in the jam band scene but admit to knowing nowhere near as much about the band as someone like KDawg. Obviously they are a band that is all about the live show, so if you were ever going to pick something up, A Live One is a good concert to start with (and I am sure KDawg can provide several other good options). If you are looking for an album to introduce you to the band, A Picture of Nectar is my favorite, but Farmhouse is probably the most casual listener-friendly. Even my parents dig the album. They are worth checking out.

The only place I've heard of Phish from is the Simpsons episode where Homer gets medicinal marijuana. Pretty sure they were playing the "Run like the Antelope" song, although I'm not sure of the exact title.

Phish suck if sober. The have a following because it sounds good stoned.
