Try Deep Dish, John Digweed or Sasha if you dig Oakenfold. Out There and Back by Paul Van Dyk is also great.

I'm here to restore order where there was once chaos....or something like that. Also, I have a 12-hour work day coming up, followed by another one tomorrow. It's going to be awful.....
Anyway, my album pick of the day is
Wrong Way Up by Brian Eno & John Cale. If you don't know who these two are, Brian Eno is a legendary music producer and John Cale is the classically trained, viola-playing, multi-instrumentalist from Velvet Underground. This album reeks of `80s nostalgia but does not contain a bad song. In the movie I will one day hopefully write, I still picture "Spinning Away" as the song that will get played during the closing credits. If you dig Eno's stuff like Before & After Science or Another Green World, then you will probably like this as well.

I think I finally get Deerhoof. I woke up this morning and finally had this weird, "Dude, I HAVE to listen to Runners Four. Right now." I got a boombox, plugged it in, and listened/sang while I showered. Really couldn't wait.
Took a while, but something clicked while I slept last night, and I fucking love this band.
I know nothing about them, but I'm pretty sure the lead singer's a Japanese chick... I've never seen her, but I bet she'd be great in the sack

I used to play this song a lot whenever I had to pick lazy friends of mine up on campus during college....I would always try to find something really lame from the `80s to try to embarrass them....and then I stumbled onto the Saved By the Bell soundtrack.

I have been listening to Beautiful Freak by The Eels ever since I have gotten home from work. I had the director's DVD of Mark Romanek in the other day and was watching the video for "Novocaine For the Soul" and it made me think of this album. I never heard much about these guys when this album first came out, but really got into it in college. Check out "Novocaine For the Soul", "My Beloved Monster" (which I think is from Shrek), and "Trouble With Dreams" if you need some music to introduce you to the band.

Don't Laugh or at least hold it to a minimum.
I'm a blues guitar guy that has a trio, a girl friend of mine asked if I had gotten John Mayers new CD.
I snickered, and she said that it was a live blues album. I got and its great.
I had no idea he could get down like that so if you guys are into the blues I highly suggest it the album is called "TRY".

I changed my mind I'm listening to a tape cassette of the Top Gun soundtrack I got from goodwill on a pink boombox, mixed with my 12 inch TV's mono speaker blasting Lode Runner sound effects from my Turbo Grafx 16, while my fat girlfriend applies slap bracelets around her thigh sized wrist and makes greasy handprints on my hypercolor underpants while wearing a Power Glove that serves no function but to emulate Kid Vid from the burger king kidz club while I huff unleaded gasoline out of a Tom and Jerry Jelly jar I converted to a cup to drink Crystal Pepsi, before I spilt it and had to find something to take away the pain caused by Sammy Hagar quitting Van Halen because they sold more records with him than David Lee Roth, and I prefer keyboards to electric guitar anyways that's why I leave my Casio SK1 on the demo mode, tempo all the way down because that's the new sound in town
