I spent much of today listening to Dr. Octagon's "Dr. Octagonecolygist" (too lazy to look up spelling) and "Roots Come Alive" and I tossed some Streets in there, too
May I suggest firing up some De La Soul?
No, I got it. Motherfucking Ghostface Killah, Supreme Clientele. One of the greatest rap records ever. Absolutely awesome album.
Common- Like Water for Chocolate
(and one of my favorite standbys)
Jay Z- Reasonable Doubt
If you can't find something to listen to there, go to hell

I listen to everything. I love music and am willing to give a listen to anything. The CD player in the mini-van has been playing these lately...
1. Maroon 5 - Songs About Jane
2. Bedouin Soundclash - Sounding A Mosaic
3. David Gray - White Ladder
4. Beastie Boys - Ill Communication
5. African Odyssey from
Putumayo World Music
6. An MP3 Mixed CD with 180 songs from the 1980's
7. The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan
Anyone else listen to the Putumayo CDs?
Also, does anyone know of a program for creating music on the computer?
I'm certain this thread will be stickied!

I know I'm being typical, but don't forget about considering Blackalicious's albums "Nia" and "Blazing Arrow."
or Talib Kweli's solo debut, "Quality."
or GZA "Liquid Sword"

about the program. check out fruityloops.
http://www.flstudio.com/
ive made some cool stuff with this program. its free but on the free version you cant save anything, so you have to make what you can and export it to a wav file or mp3. might take a while to learn the advanced stuff on this program, but making a simple beat and melody should be easy enough.

I actually kinda agree. I listened to one of their latest CDs when I first heard them, and I thought, "Wow, this band sucks."
Then I heard Source Tags and Codes and was just blown away. I don't know if they're a big critical hit or anything, but Source Tags and Codes is really a stellar album, no matter what anyone says.
Then again, TenEight likes it, so it's probably just emo

Yea, that was my number one by far, but Indiana has given me some pretty cool offers, so it's not for sure.
Indiana University is a great school, as that is my alma mater....great campus, hot females everywhere, and some excellent scholastic opportunities, if you are into studying and all that. Also, Little 5 is one of the top party weeks around the country.
One of my good friends goes there, so that has kind of made my choice a little hazy. I was for sure going to Illinois, but now it's up in the air.
dude, go to bloomington. If I had gotten into their jazz program, I would've gone there(though I have no regrets about rutgers at all)

in a word, yes. I'll put it like this, I don't generally like electronica music, but this group is just great. get your hands on any of their stuff and enjoy
I also want to recomend Kate Earl to anyone who isn't familiar with her. she has tons of talent and is great on the eyes too(though that doesn't matter to me much when I listen to music, but this girl is smoking)
