Concrete Blonde.....haven't heard that name in a loong time....they were the band that sang that song "Joey", right?
I do like that era of U2 albums, esp. Joshua Tree and Unforgettable Fire. I have a hard time listening to any album of their after Achtung Baby.
Never heard of Lemon Demon....what kind of music is it?

I bet that was a sweet show....I had Kid Koala do a short set (which started with the theme song from Mallrats) , and then the Beta Band, who were awesome from what I remember, at the only Radiohead show I have ever been to. I had rolled up 4 blunts for that show and said I would light them for 4 specific Radiohead songs.....naturally 3 of those songs were played in a row and I can't remember much of the show after that.

Haha....the first one was for The National Anthem, as that was the song that opened the show, and I had to get the show started off of the right foot. Paranoid Android was also one.

Yes, Concrete Blonde did the song Joey which is no way near one of their best songs however, I do like it a lot.
Some other great Concrete Blonde songs are:
Bloodletting: The Vampire Song
God is a Bullet
Walking in London
Days and Days
Still In Hollywood
Anyway... Concrete Blonde is one of my favorite all time bands.
Honestly, I HATED Joshua Tree when it came out. I just won the CD when I was away on a business trip. It is a really good album. When Joshua Tree came out, I felt that U2 had gone soft and commercial but now that I listen to it I realize that this was some pretty good music. I loved Achtung Baby. The song
One is probably is one of my favorite U2 songs.
Oh... Lemon Demon. My son heard one of his songs on Newgrounds. It was associated with an annimation. Since then, he has been playing all of the songs and he is trying to learn how to play them on the guitar. This is NOT something you would hear on the radio (and probably not something you would want to hear on the radio.)
Anyway... if you want to learn more about Lemon Demon, go to this site:

Stick it up! Gimme 'dat sweet, succulent STICKY! YEAH!
I woke up in a great mood this morning, and whenever the Shimmering Wang feels good, he makes every effort to keep that mood elevated as long as humanly possible. In that case, I generally depend on super-happy and upbeat music to keep me feeling good. So I've been carring around my iPod and creating a super happy playlist. Including the following selections:
Radiohead- Lift
I can't believe I forgot about this song during the "Radiohead B-sides" conversation. Definitely makes my Top 5, probably somewhere right behind Talk Show Host. One of the few Radiohead songs that's just supremely positive. "Today/ Is the first day/ of the rest of your days/ so lighten up, squirt"
Van Morrison- Jackie Wilson Said
If this song doesn't make/keep you happy, then your soul is darker than obsidian. In fact, you should most definitely not reproduce, so as to avoid saddling future generations with your terrible burden of unflinching despair. You sicken me.
Spoon- The Way We Get By
Getting high in backseats of cars is awesome. So is seeking out the taciturn. Also, sweet talking like a cop and/or buying a new bag of pot.
Beck- Debra (or anything from Midnite Vultures)
Just need to find me a girl named Debra, and I'm in like Flynn.
The Arcade Fire- Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)
I definitely got funny looks when I accidentally started belting the lyrics out when I was searching for the perfect head of lettuce at the grocery store today. Whatever. Fuck you, grandma.
Wilco- I got you (at the End of the Century) and Outtasite/ Outtamind
"I got you and I still believe/ That you are all I will ever need" Being there always makes me happy. Great disc, great band.
The Streets- Fit but You Know It
"Excuse me girl. I know it's a bit embarrassing, but... I just noticed some tan lines, on your shirt, there. See, I reckon you are about an eight or a nine. Maybe even a nine-and-a-half in four beers time."
Mike Skinner rocks.
Happiness will only happen when it can.

That's pretty weird, because I decided earlier this week that I wasn't a true IndieHipster unless I could make sarcastic remarks at a coffee shop comparing modern rock bands unfavorably to Deerhoof, and then comment loudly on postmodernism.
It's been slow going, but like most good bands, the more I listen, the more I like. I'm nowhere near the point where I wake up and decide, "Well d
amn. If I don't get me some Deerhoof right now, I'm gonna be pi
