I can't get past the first two songs...I love them.
I love the whole thing, the first song being my favorite, but I like his "worst" albums more than most of his "good" ones, I'm just wondering how people who aren't that wacky for him feel about it.

Does he say Alicia Keys in that first song?

Richard Cheese...
When I was a kid, for some reason I thought that singing lounge versions of hit songs would be a hilarious skit. Flash forward 10 years, and I heard this crazy song on the pirate radio station. It was a lounge song, and I relaized taht I recognizedt the lyrics, but couldn't reconcil them with the song... then it hit me, it was "nookie" by Limp Buiscuit. And it was the funniest fking thing I'd ever heard. I felt giddy that someone took my childhood dream and made it come true. If you've never heard Richard CHeese, you'll die. Listening to him cover 90's rock songs makes you realize what absurd pieces of crap lyrics they are. I recomend "closer" "Nookie" " keep them sepreated" and "wrong way" though pretty much every thing he covers is gold

I was the same, and it is still hard for me because Kid A is just so amazing. You just have to accept that these albums don't have to be as good as Kid A, but they can still be very very good. Take them for what they are.

Sorry Kid A fans...was not a fan...my rank
1. OK Computer
2. Hail to the Thief
3. Amnesiac
4. The Bends
5. Kid A
(ignoring Pablo Honey because I've only listened to the whole thing a couple times)
How can you not say that OK Computer is the best of the 6? It's by far the best. Even if you prefer more electronic music, you at least have to appreciate how when OK Computer came out, there was nothing else like it. It was completely revolutionary. I like Hail because it sort of tones down the computer heavy Kid A/Amnesiac and combines with with OK. But OK Computer is hands down the best.
Now that I think about it...maybe I should give Kid A a listen again. I do like a lot of the songs, but most of the songs I like are the performances from the live album where some of the electronicness was toned down.

Oh, don't get me wrong I know they had heavy influences from plenty of other bands. When I say revolutionary I mean it more in terms as creating an album like Kid A after an album like OK Computer.
Actually I'm going to listen to some Boards of Canada now, just because.
