this album is one big orgy of samples from songs new and old, recognizable and unrecognizable, hidden and displayed, rock, rap, techno, motown. its a mash-up record on speed. listen to it now before the newer samples lose their novelty!

I just finished Agaetis Byrjun, by Sigur Ros.
God, I always forget how good that album is. It nearly brings me to tears every time. My good friend literally burst out crying the first time she saw Sigur Ros in concert. I don't blame her.
Maybe it's just that it's pouring rain and I'm sitting inside writing a paper all day, but Sigur Ros seems to fit my mood perfectly right now.
As Vonnegut would say, "If this isn't nice, then I don't know what is."

I am weirdly obsessed with CC. I also find it funny the their guitarist is pretty much a socialist, yet the band is already starting to sellout more than any I can think of. I think it's funny to give him my money. I'm a sick human being.

Has there ever been a more ideologically confused band than rage against the machine?
CC makes my *** twitch. Rage I think is hilarious, but not what I'd consider good.
Audio slave makes my *** twitch. At least rage has that funny early rap-rock angst that just kills me.AS is just.... meh.
