I used to be a Dave Matthews fan (when I was much younger) so I have sort of a nostalgic feeling that prevents me from hating them too much (though their new stuff is total garbage, and by new I mean every album aside from like three). And I also dig U2 from time to time (indivudual songs, most of their albums are way too hit and miss for one to listen to them). And yes, the Eagles do indeed suck.

Excellent. I just saw him live a few days ago with Dickey Betts.

Gotta admit, Dickey was a sad, sad sight. I go to see the Allman Brothers every year at the Beacon, and to see Dickey pretty much unable to let go of the 70s is truly depressing, bordering on comical.

However, KWS was absolutely insane. His encore was the SRV Version of "voodoo chile" and it was just flat out nasty.

random thought, on the American Idol season finale, Mary J Blige did a cool version of One by U2.


Its odd I liked it b/c I'm not a Mary J fan, and I like about 8 U2 songs, maybe 10.

U2 has not made a good album since Achtung Baby. The latest album they made is by far the worst one yet.

I have never liked DMB since the very first time I heard him bellow out "What would you say?" Yes, I understand all the arguments...."you have to see him live". I went and saw him live my junior year of high school. I gave it a shot and was kind of pumped since Galactic opened, and I am a Galactic fan. Anyway, the Dave performance was on my list of the 3 worst concerts I have ever seen. I find it hard to believe that he is still on the radar, but he'll have a cult following forever, just like a Jimmy Buffett, so he can have more chances to dump all the sewage and s*it out of his bus and into lakes and rivers.

Anyway, today I am going to give the new Los Lonely Boys album a try. I want to hear the new Keane album as well, I dug the first one for a while. Got to get my favorite CD release of the last few months out as well, Surprise by Paul Simon.
