Yes. And it is blowing me away. I was reading some stories pertaining peoples first experiences with Dj Shadow, and somehow, they amplify the effect.

I could make an argument for Summerteeth or for Mermaid Avenue, which wasn't mentioned on your original list (even though it is a collaborative effort and not really their music, but still a great album), I think Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is their opus. That album is Wilco's OK Computer. It will be the album they are remembered for down the road.

The correct order:
1) YHF
2) Being There
3) Summer Teeth
4) A Ghost is Born
5) Some Uncle Tupelo stuff
9) AM
I don't like AM. And I don't count Billy Bragg collabos.

Upon further review...
You guys are right. For me, it's YHF, A Ghost is Born, Summer Teeth, Being There. I love the first disc of Being There, but the 2nd disc doesn't grab me as much. I don't much like AM either. I haven't listened to much of the Billy Bragg stuff.
I saw Tweedy live solo a few months back...it was absolutely amazing.

Where did this acronym originate? I always assumed it meant "Quit F*cking Talking". Silly me. My bad, will have to go back and edit the last post. My apologies to the Wangster for my semi-rant that has now been deleted.
Anyway, going to listen to a little Rilo Kiley today .... any band that is proud enough to have an alumni of Salute Your Shorts on it is OK by me....
I am also digging the new Mark Knopfler & Emmylou Harris album. I am not much of a country fan, but I dig Emmylou. Knopfler is a fantastic guitar player as well....
