I'm listening to AFI's new cd "Decemberunderground" on theleak.mtv.com
I've been pleasantly surprised. I didn't like "Miss Murder" at all to begin with, but it fits with the rest of the cd quite well.

well, i bought some CDs yesterday so i thought i'd post here. i don't think i'm much of a musical elitest, but the most recent post gave me hope that at least my music is better than Nickelback and Theory of a Deadman (who both suck

).
PurchasesL
Genesis: Live
Joe Satriani: Crystal Planet
White Stripes: ? (Self-titled?)
Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble: Live Alive
Eric Clapton and the Yardbirds: The Yardbird Years
G3 Live: Rock in the Free World.
G3 is currently being played, and is amazing. friggin amazing. side 2 is the G3 Jam (Satriani, Vai, Malmstein) with Voodoo Chile, Little Wing and Rockin' in the Free World. simply unbelievable. Too amazing for words. Except "unbelievable" i guess which I've already used as an adjective.

You know how people often refer to artists they think are crappy and say things like, "anybody could do what he does"? I think that actually applies to Rob Thomas. He gets credit for being a big "hook" guy, but the only memorable vocal hook that guy has ever sung is in "Smooth", and I'm instantly convinced that Itaal Shur wrote the hook ("Give me your heart/make it real/let's don't forget about it").
