How familiar are you with ms earl's music. I found out about her on the adult alt station on my cable, and loved her music, and her looks definetly helped. I've seen her once already

I've been listening to nothing but Alice in Chains all week.... I'm going to see them next Monday night at the Avalon in Boston, their 5th and final stop on the U.S. small venue portion of their Layne Staley tribute world tour.....

....And to make things even more exciting, according to a recent press release they have put out an open invite to artists that they consider "friends" in the area to come jam with them. Tool is playing the Orpheum the night before (5/21) and will be embarking on the same European tour as AIC 5 days later in Lisbon. Maynard has jammed with them in the past year according to the release....

coincidence that they're in Boston at the same time? I doubt it icon_dance.gif

If he shows up..... well, I dont know what to say...... I'm kind of lost for words over here..

here are a couple bootlegs from a Seattle 2/05 show that he showed up at and took as the front man:

The Loyal Divide

I saw the loyal divide live here in columbus...and they were a really cool band to see live. a lot better than their myspace 'page'..idunno..they seem to be just local right now..so i dunno..they also remind of a fair amount of other bands..but w/e...their live show was pretty amazing regardless.

Is anyone with me on this? I don't "get" Kid A. I wish like he.ll I did, but I just don't. Any remedies? Just keep listening? I've been trying that for a couple of years, though not religiously.

I just got the new Paul Simon album, Surprise. My first impressions of it are very positive. I was interested to hear the Paul Simon/Brian Eno collaboration to see what kind of sound Paul would make, and it is very good. Check out "How Can You Live in the Northeast" if you want to try one song off of it first....definitely worth a listen though.
Don Giovanni
last night i listened to Soon by My Bloody Valentine in my freinds car. we played it super loud and we were super high and it completely destroyed my soul. in a good way.

A friend of mine whose opinion I respect a ton burned McCartney's "Chaos and Creation in the Backyard" which came out last September for me. Nigel Godrich produced; it's pretty awesome actually.

I was hooked on that album for a while......great stuff.

Right now I can't stop listening to Z by My Morning Jacket. I know I have posted about it before, but after seeing them live, I just can't get it out of my head. The lead singer can't sing at all, but it really doesn't matter in their case....
Don Giovanni

Likewise, except I've been hooked since it leaked. My last.fm is ridiculous, Tool is exponentially higher than any other artist.

Also, I've been getting owned by Crosstide recently. Specifically a song called "Opposite Day."
