Lately I've been listening to Head Automatica a ton. I also really like the latest Thrice album. I plan to pick up the new Ben Harper soon and that will probably take over my car stereo for a few weeks.

Haha, it's a great track.

I've listened to it A LOT over the weekend.

The link is broken now, but was it the video with the picture frames then moving to the bathroom and eventually down the toilet? If so, that's not the actual video. That's a clip that they showed on the projection screens during the Lateralus tour. It's cool nonetheless though.

For the record, iTunes says I played the single 333 times this weekend.

I need to get out more.

Wow.

I've listened probably around 100 times. I'm trying to ration it a little bit, mainly because the CD player in my car is broken, so I'm stuck listening to the radio. I know after today it will be on probably once an hour, so I don't want to be burned out on the song before the cd comes out.

I haven't been playing all that well over the last few days, and now- to compound the problem- I'm running real bad, so I'm listening to a few bands that I think will keep me in proper spirits, including:

Jens Lekman
The Unicorns/The Islands
The Go! Team
The Dismemberment Plan
Wolf Parade
Bloc Party

Man, all I want to do is flop a set. Is that so hard to ask? Apparently, I pissed some malicious deity off, because I'm currently on a nice little 0/100+ pocket pair but no flop set streak. Heck, fill me up a big draw when I've got the equity to cap the flop and the turn.

Argh

PS- During the composition of this post, I flopped a set of fives, and lost a 25 bet pot to a set of sixes.... Someone point me to the nearest bridge.

May 2nd. I'm going to a midnight sale and then driving to seattle to see them play that evening. Should be a great day. Oddly enough, that's the only reason why I listened to the leak, so I know the new songs when they are played live.

Agreed. I saw them in 2002 and it blew my mind.

As far as the summer tour, they are touring overseas through August. Then I would assume they are going to the states. They are doing a mini-tour before heading to Europe. Here are the dates (excuse the caps, I copied and pasted from their site):

SUN-APR-30 INDIO, CA/ COACHELLA FESTIVAL
TUE-MAY-02 SEATTLE/ PARAMOUNT THEATRE
THU-MAY-04 OAKLAND/ PARAMOUNT THEATRE
FRI-MAY-05 LAS VEGAS/ THE JOINT
SAT-MAY-06 PHOENIX/ GAMMAGE HALL
MON-MAY-08 DALLAS/ McFARLIN AUDITORIUM
WED-MAY-10 DENVER/ TEMPLE BUELL THEATRE
THU-MAY-11 KANSAS CITY/ MEMORIAL HALL
FRI-MAY-12 MINNEAPOLIS/ ORPHEUM THEATRE
SAT-MAY-13 CHICAGO/ AUDITORIUM THEATRE
MON-MAY-15 DETROIT/ FOX THEATRE
TUE-MAY-16 TORONTO/ HUMMINGBIRD THEATRE
THU-MAY-17 PHILADELPHIA/ TOWER THEATRE
FRI-MAY-19 NEW YORK/ CITY CENTER
SAT-MAY-20 NEW YORK/ CITY CENTER
SUN-MAY-21 BOSTON/ ORPHEUM THEATRE

I hope I can get tickets to the Seattle show. The Paramount theatre only holds 2800 people.

Damn these tickets must be IMPOSSIBLE to get... that's a fairly small venue. I'm going to look around for tix even if I have to pay top dollar.

Ahhh got it sorry I'm a little slow.

I just got off the phone with the Orpheum... they hold 2,800 max also... so scoring tickets to this one is basically the equivalent of winning the lottery.. its gonna sell out in under a minute or 2.. I'll do my best though.. God willing I will be there

The thing that pisses me off is that I signed up for ToolArmy (the paysite) over a year ago because they have ticket presales. Then they post monday that there will be no presales for the mini-tour. Now I have to, like you said, win the lottery.

Are you going to buy online or go to a ticketmaster outlet? I can't decide which is more likely to score me tickets.

I think having 3 or 4 people with ticketmaster on speed dial while trying to get through on the web at the same time is the best bet.

If you go to an outlet it might be sold out by the time you get to the front of the line... especially if its some little old lady working their computer. I wouldn't want to have to pummel some 80 yr old woman mercilessly because she wasn't quick enough to get me my tickets....
