3 handed LHE

Reads:

sb-plays incredibly strange and his play for the most part makes absolutely no sense. I have no idea what the raise means as it could mean 29 offsuit or Aces, who knows really.

button-Pretty much a donk as well, nothing special about his game really.

Hero has 67 offsuit in the BB

button limps, sb raises, hero calls, button calls

I automatically defend here with a hand like 67 getting a good price.

FLOP [2h 8s 5h]

sb bets, hero raises, button 3-bets, sb calls, hero caps, button calls, sb calls

The raise is done to try and get the button out of the hand and to see where I'm at in this hand against the sb. The 3-bet from the button is somewhat unexpected, but I decide to cap it here for value reasons and for deception if I do hit my straight. I really didn't think the button particularly had to have a hand to 3-bet as I've seen him do it with air before. You could probably argue that calling the 3-bet is better, which I won't really argue too much with, but I felt my 6 or 7 might have been good for outs too with the way these guys have been playing.

TURN [9h]

sb bets, hero?

This is where it gets interesting as the sb decides to bet out after the flush card hits. I hit my straight, but the flush card is not much fun. It's really kind of hard to see the sb having a flush, but the button being on a flush draw is certainly a possibility, so what's the play here? Call? Raise? What if you raise and it's 3-bet/capped to you? Do you call down?

Raise, not close.

Call three, check/call river.

good luck.

in my humble opinion, if you don't raise here, you had no reason to be raising the fop.

I think that makes sense.

so, well played...

Yeah I felt the raise was automatic as well, at least to me. Just wanted a little confirmation I guess after getting crushed the way I have been. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't overplaying my hands.

It ended up getting 3-bet by the sb and I called down while the button folded to my intial raise. The sb showed down AT of hearts for the nut flush, he should have capped it on the flop himself with the nut flush draw and 2 overs, makes no difference really though, he probably gets paid off the same in the end.

Don't like the flop cap.

Like a turn raise. Button and sb have told you they have strong hands. Probably 2-pair, or set type hands. Go ahead and raise. You'll get a ton of action.
