I have decided that I am done with FCP poker,
I really like playing with folks from the forum but this site and its setup just bugs the hell out of me.
I have played on four othe sites in the past, party/paradise/fulltilt and stars. Of them all I think party poker is the worst and even that site is leaps and bounds ahead of FCP.
I am going to really miss playing in the Neg- o and it is fun playing in a league Vs just a regular tourny but for me its just not worth it anymore.

One thing that really irritates me is the following from FCP;
In order to deposit more than $200 into your poker account, all deposits, with the exception of Neteller, will be subject to ID verification.
The cumulative withdrawal limit on a non-verified account is $200. Once total withdrawals for your account exceed $200, you will also be subject to ID verification. Once completed for your specific deposit method, you will, once again, be able to withdrawal as normal.
Our ID Verification process requires you to submit a copy of your credit card, photo ID, recent utility bill and an authorization form to our secure administrative offices. If you have any questions regarding this process, please feel free to contact Player Support

Now if I am reading this right, even if I use neteller to make my deposites I will still need to get verified at some point to take money back out. Even if this is not the case I still resent having to use neteller, I always use my debit card (NO FEES) to deposite at other sites, cannot do this here and neteller charges me 8.9% which pretty much wipes out the 10% deposit bonus from FCP, not much of an incentive there to deposit money.

I the next month or so I am going to be depositing about a $1000, I don’t like the idea of only getting 1.1% bonus.
I play on line for convenience, its about 45 minutes to the nearest card room and with my work schedule its often not worth it, so I play on line instead.
Many players have been complaining about the blinds structure, personally I dislike the 20 seconds to decide even more, no way is that enough time to make a good decision, even with a long blind structure this 20 second thing makes it feel like a turbo.

I have not decided which site I am going to play most in '06 but it will be either stars or FT, and now that I have no real money on FCP I am not even going to be able to rail the live games so very shortly that program is coming off the computer, I will still be around on the forum, and hope to play against some of you in the future, keep an eye open for me, HWY9 on stars and mr_english on fulltilt.

Yep, some of FCP's policies really aren't going to help attract players.

Hi Mr English, with some of our policies we're damned if we do and damned if we don't.

If somebody deposits with Neteller and withdraws with Neteller then there won't be the verification process listed other than under special circumstances for security reasons. I'm sorry that this confused you as the withdrawal policies are there for methods other than Neteller.

We're trying to be as upfront with people as possible and let them know what they will face so that there are no surprises. The reality of the online gaming business is that to protect ourselves and the players that with certain deposit methods we will require verification.

With Neteller other than the instacash method of deposit there are no fees. You should contact Neteller and they can let you know the methods you can use to fund your Neteller account with no charge to you.

As for your railing the games since you have a real money account you'll always have a real money account and can view all the games even if there is no money in your account.

I hope this clears up a couple of the issues you mentioned.

FCP, thanks for the response.

For me it all comes down to convenience, debit card from my account was convenient, neteller was a hassle but not a game stopper. I use instacash because I want to play right away, otherwise I would just get verified and use my debit card.
But as long as there are other sites that dont require all the hoop jumping guess I will use them for now.

The 20 second thing is very sucky, I agree.. And the player search is not only bad on poker room, it's worse on FCP because it doesn't work. When you click the magnifying glass, Full Contact goes to 'Password Retrieval'. FCP needs to improve their player search dramatically, and add a buddy list, so we can locate donks quickly.

I am resisting the temptation to deposit on FCP, but the pull of the Neg-o might be to strong, guess I will not know for sure until wednesday.

I think I will probably make a small deposit this week, the month after christmas is always a killer, I think the $1000 deposit I want to make will probably go to either stars or FT

This 8.9% thing is for InstaCash only, isn't it? Why not avoid that by making regular EFT's? Once the verification thing is done, the withdrawal part should only take a couple of days.

mr_english, I was (still am) trapped in the ID verification problem that is part of the FCP player security proceedures. I sent a few emails and it is being fixed. I am opening a Neteller account (something I should have done from the get go) and avoid the onerous ID verification.

Everyone has noticed that the software running FCP is being updated very often: this is a good sign. I shows that there is an active team of software geeks fixing things, improving features, and quickly putting these improvements in the site.

Customer service is very good, easily on the same level as party which, over the years, has bent over backwards for players, I have found.

Keep in mind that it is also possible that the financial part of handling deposits for FCP may well be a contract with a third party. If the whole money handling part of the business proves negative, they may well get the boot and be replaced with a more flexible financial handling package, which more sites have. This is speculation on my part.

Sites like bodog don't even accept Canadian players, so FCP is not the 'tightest rule monkeys' out there.

I think it is really important to realize that the FCP forum is a big source of improvement information.

For example, everyone here has noticed that the player chat and info scrolling is cracked. Usually when you click on the open body of the scroll bar, the text should advance a page. In FCP it advances a line, just as if you clicked on the arrows. This slows down the use of the site for the user.

I decided to give FCP a good year to shake out the bugs and improve their player access. Sooner or later they will have to loosen up, but sometimes it takes time for realities of the market to sink in.

The reality right now is that there are a lot of other sites doing just fine with more player friendly methods to put cash into the site. It will take time for FCP to come to this competitive reality but I have no reason to doubt they already have a clue this is the case.

One pro-active solution to the ID verification is to have alternate ID verification proceedures. Remember that the objective is to make sure the person is legit, *not* get important personal information in a file. For people with legit concerns about identity theft, it would not take someone with a phone long to verify a person's reality. This is just my opinion and a suggestion.

I think the qualitative side of FCP is strong enough to give the site time to mature, IMHO.

I am going to give them time, I still have it loaded to my computer and will continue to play the Neg-o but that is the only game I am planning on playing, I just dont like the look and feel of the site, if it improves I may play more, but for now most of my play will be on stars and FT.
