ok, i'm most interested in the decision i currently have on the flop.
i'm also curious if there's thoughts on the preflop 3-bet and/or the flop lead.
thanks,

I 3bet preflop all day long. Im probably calling down without a read after the flop (this might be a leak of mine).

I 3 bet preflop as well.
I come out firing as well, but if you 3 bet, would that be considered spewing?
A call down seems to weak here, imo.

Danny,
I hate these situations. I'd probably fold because you showed strenght pf, and this guy doesn't care. I'd occassionally call down too.
3-betting pf is my normal play. Sometimes I just call with the intention of raising flops like this. Depends on the tightnesss of the limpers.

i haven't been winning lately, so i've been considering postflop playability as opposed to equity too much in preflop decisions.
i really think not 3-betting this preflop would be a significant mistake, so glad everyone agrees with that.
no read, but the guy was not crazy, so i don't put him on a bluff here. but i can't say for certain he doesn't have A8, K

Q

etc etc. seems like an obvious jack here, but i often see people auto-raising preflop raisers on non-ace flops with any pocket pair.
i'm glad i 3-bet this post flop, since that makes me feel fine about the fold - i think he's making a mistake raising this without a jack, so i guess that's that.

I don't.
In most situations it is a mistake. Not that big of one thoguht.

I'm looking for more situations to 3-bet the flop when I don't have top pair. Ice's post about free sd raises made me think.
Anyway, I don't think this is a good spot to 3-bet the flop. You have to call a cap on odds alone. You'd cost yourself the same amount by calling the -flop and donking a non-threatening turn.
Given your read, I don't think you cost yourself anything by folding this flop.
