If that is your read on him, then why not call the 3bet on the flop and C/R the turn?
Because I have position and can't c/r?
Seriously, there are a lot of scare cards (notably spades and aces) that can come on the turn and I'd hate to put in 3-bets on the turn if he raises vs the 2 if he c/r's me if one falls.

Oops. I misread the hand.
My point is, if you think he is making a move on the flop, call the 3bet and pump him up on the turn.
Capping this flop is going to result in the Villian checking the turn a lot. Which is bad for you because you are either A) losing a BB or

getting check/raised.
I don't hate capping the flop, but I think if your intention on the flop cap is for value, then it would be better to call the flop and raise his automatic bet on the turn.
Don't you think he leads the turn if you don't cap the flop?
