121 person live tournament. Blinds are 1000-2000 with a 200 ante. 20 people left. 18 get paid. I am in the big blind with J10o. I have approx 12500 left after the blind. Blinds are being raised to 3000-6000 with a 300 ante on the next hand. Folds around to the button who bets 10000. Small blind folds. What do I do?
Information that I have:
-At my table I am around 5th or 6th in chips out of 8 people.
-Button has moved in probably 3 of the last 5 hands. Each time he's made comments about having to push at this point with anything decent eventhough he is second in chips at our table. A hand or two previous he had pushed with A4s after two very short stacks went all in.
-The rest of the table has been playing very tight as we got closer to the money.

You are somwhere in the range of 45-55% to win this hand in most cases, which would seem to indicate a push.
However, if youre going to have to make a stand it would be nice to make it with the bigger blinds. If you were small blind here I would definitely wait. With a 3k small blind coming up and knowing youre heads up I probably push now.

First of all, why such a big jump in blinds, 1000-2000 to 3000-6000 ... seems a bit crazy.
Anyway, I think these blinds force you to push here. If not, you're going to be forced to put 1/4 of your chips in on the very next random hand you pick up, leaving you with 12500 - 3300 = 9200 and blinds at 3000-6000, so you're forced to push on the next hand anyway. I'm happy to go with J,10 here and let it play out as it may.
