I would raise pf.

Flop is close. I would raise. If my kicker was worse, or if the bet came from an earlier position, I would fold.

Turn is a fold.

I agree with screech. Raise preflop, the rest of the hand was played well as is though.

plus, if you raise the flop, you'll get to see the river!

I meant preflop.
The pot odds would be there then, assuming the rest plays the same

I understand raising PF to exploit whatever minor equity edge we have over other players. I even like it given that we have the best position... but I can't see much reason other than that.

I'm not isolating anyone. BB is calling with any kind of hand, the limpers are calling, and I already have the button so it's not like I'm buying it. It also often ties me to the hand to the river, as Actuary pointed out...

Middle unsuited aces don't play particularly well post flop, so I tend not to raise them in this position. Should I? Perhaps. I raise ATo from the CO to buy the button. I raise ATs from the button. Hmm... I dunno.

Jeff,

There are a few reasons I raise this pf.

1) We have an equity edge
2) We have position
3) We may fold the blinds
4) Our intiative may allow us to take the flop when everyone else misses

Yeah, I buy all that.

You raise it in MP with two limpers, too?

What about A9-A8o? A9s or below?

Something I notice a lot of players do is tighten up too much on their preflop raises after a limper or two.

ATo+ is good, A8s+ is good, pairs 66+ are good if you think you can keep the pot less than 4 handed, KTs+ and QTs+...

its all gravy, especially when you have players behind you that are capable of folding hands like ATo and other weak hands to a raise.
