Any comments?

Villain is 64/21/2.3, but only over 42 hands.

My thinking was that he could have absolutely anything with this bet, given his AF and VPIP, etc. I figure my hand is still good, and feel even stronger about that when everyone else in the pot folds.

I c/r the safe turn to see where I'm at in this hand.

Thoughts?

I'm tossing that preflop, actually.

If for some reason I'm feeling froggy and seeing a flop with this, I'm leading with a probe bet given the chance. If I get raised, I can feel confident I'm behind to a king (Or some strangely played 88-TT-type hand).

Given his aggression, I suppose it's possible he's also firing a probe bet given the chance, but if I go for a c/r, I'll generally get it over with on the flop.

Disclaimer: I'm freakishly aggressive once I do decide to play a hand. wink.gif

granted its only 40 hands; but guys don't get 2.3 AF becuase they call down with a worse hand there. (usually)

His VPiP indicatees you are probably ahead; however, his call on the turn is odd for such a LAG.

I want to c/c the river here.
He is not folding a better hand, and his AF indicates he does not call with worse. But he will bet with air if you let him.

Overall I like the c/r against this type of player; I'm just surprised he called down

Again, only 40 hands

edited to add:

I limp all day with this hand.
And the Turn c/r has more value againstr this crazy opponent.
Probing is not useful, imo

It just seemed like an interesting play to make here. He seemed like the type of player who would make that bet with anything here. He ended up having bottom pair here, so my read was correct. Just wondering if anyone would make a play like this in this situation. I understand it is really read dependant, but since I got Pokertracker, I have been paying more attention to crap like this, and it has paid off. I'm almost back to even for 1/2, combined with my still 14 BB/100 in .5/1, and a few nice sessions in 2/4, it's all going well!

I agree with this. Very well explained imo.
