Been using this bluff on high paired boards in raised pots lately. Just curious if people think this is a good play or merely FPS.

On paired boards people expect you to make plays at the pot with nothing. Expect any pair to call you down, as well as any ace. Your ace might be good here.

I think if you are gonna play this at all, you have to three bet preflop.

It's fine. Your raise is for value. I usually just check/call this down.

Change the KK to a TT and I like it a lot more.

anyone 3-bet this preflop?

Looks like a steal attempt to me, and we take control of the hand.

We're ahead of most of the opponents stealing range.

Actually, to say it's for value is a bit misleading because if he calls we're probalby behind. That's why I like a check/call, check/call line here.

Thanks. I, too would check it down

To the OP, I'd say if you weren't HU with a PF raise from the button, this would be a bad FPS play. As is, I think it's okay but not the best. Then again bluffs are rarely the 'best' play. Don't bluff very often doesn't mean don't ever bluff.
