haha, I usually don't complete with abso-trash in the 1/2 blind structure games....

I think you can safely throw this into the muck, even getting something like 9-1.

Other than that, I think you played exactly how I would. You were getting like 10-1 on the flop, and you've always got 6ish outs. Occassionally 2-pair will hold up here, too, and your implied odds are pretty good when you make your hand.

I bet the turn, like you did, because getting it checked through on the big street sucks. People with naked aces are likely to come along with you. I'd be a little worried about BB shutting everyone out, but even that's not bad, because you can 3-bet-smoke his ass

Nice hand

Edit: nm, I thought 2 of your cards made the straight. Bet the turn.

Yes, it definately would.

But the best time to check-raise is when you have fantasitc relative position to the original bettor.

With 5 players in this pot, I'm usually looking to reel in some overcalls before putting in my raise.
Shutting them out by facing them with 2 bets after a possible BB raise would be frustrating.

Do you think the 3 icon_suit_spade.gif is enough of a scare card to stop BB from betting the turn?

I check raise this turn.

fold preflop
AINEC.

I usually dismiss the preflop, as it's so much less important that the attention it gets. This one; however, cannot be ignored

rest of hand is irrelevant.

Agreed.

WOW.

I'd think this is a def. c/r on the turn.

BB could very, very easily continue his agression and we could trap the field for a lot of bets. The likely hood of getting it check around is very slim.

Plus the donk bet coiuld scare away A6 or K6.

I can't believe everyone else likes this turn bet.

board got really scary, decent chance BB won't lead out.
We are also subject to redraws to higher straights and flushes, now. WE absolutely must bet and not risk the check thru.

but I'm not really typing this because I folded preflop. And fast.

what are we worried about?

The flush draw is a back door draw.

If a five comes well that sucks for us, but there's still a hell of a chance we split.

If a 7 comes are we worried about 5-8? I don't think so.

I c/r this like it's my job.

you miss value from anyone hanging around when it gets checked thru.

BB may bet out, but he may hate the board now, and not.

Wang makes a good point on the turn.
