Alright Windsorites... I have a question! Currently, I only play the $5-$10 limit game, which is basically Friday/Saturday nights, and the odd weeknight when the right people show up, and have started to get curious about the no-limit games.
I've witnessed some very awful plays at the $100 max NL game, ie. UTG raise, re-raised all-in, call by the button, and UTG calls with Q-10 to see AA and KK. I've also seen worse, but you get the idea - the Q-10 didn't call with his last $5 either... we're talkin' $300-$500 pots with some complete garbage in here!
So! Does anyone play in the $200 max or $500 min games that they run? Are these games better? From what I've seen it's a bunch of super-aggressive, middle-aged Italian dudes who think their weight in pounds is equal to their playing skill - and of course, the young kids who are simply too cool for school.
It just seems to me that everyone is jamming every pot trying to double up quickly. I'm guessing they do this because it's NL and "you're supposed to double up!". So, someone fill me in! I want to sit in the higher NL games, but don't want to be forced into a coinflip whenever I'm holding something decent.
