ISAP.
Dave has been posting in strat. I haven't read it. It's sad. I stay away from strat even when my own husband posts in it. I suppose I should read his posts.
I am going to visit my mom in SC on Wednesday morning until Sunday. They don't have wireless so I can't bring the laptop so I won't be on much. I"ll check in from my dad's computer once a day or so.
I want to hear Jeffrey about his naked girl and Brett about the friend's ex. I need this gossip!
Smooches on your peepees, especially the girls'.

Ok so I'm catching up and I just read the whole trade discussion involving myself and Vann. Unless it changed again, it looks like I'm now on Renae's team.
I would just like to take this opportunity to say that I'm really looking forward to joining this strong group of talented individuals. I had a good run with Cindy's team, but I think it was best for both sides if I moved on. Cindy picked up a valuable asset in Vann and I'm sure that he'll be a solid contributor to her developing team's success.
As for me, I just hope to contribute where I can and aid in improving an already stellar lineup.
Side note: I think this is probably the first instance in history of a mother/father/son combination on one team.
Now I'm going to eat something and get upset about having to go back to work tomorrow after almost 2 weeks off. Perhaps I'll cry myself to sleep tonight on my huge pillow.

Nice, Doug! Hahahaha.
Oh and Dave sounds smart here, but I didn't read the whole thread because I suck. It's in NL strat and it's called AK. I'm glad that one of my household is contributing something.
QUOTE (David_Nicoson)
QUOTE (RISEorFall)
Look, you should only bet for 2 reasons. To make a worse hand call, or to make a better hand fold.
What worse hand is calling? None. So you're trying to make a better hand fold. Therefore, you're bluffing with your AK. He's already reraised, telling you he's not scared of whatever you have.
How often do you think your bluff will work? You're risking about 175 to win about 100. He has to fold about 7 times for every 4 he calls for this to just break even.
No, he's not bluffing with AK. He's semi-bluffing. That's what's great about AK: when you semi-bluff and get caught, you're not screwed. When he does get called by a medium pair, he still wins about 45% of the time.
He can expect to win 45% of the $500 pot is $225 in this case.
And it costs him $250-$25 = $225 to do it.
So, it's a break-even proposition if he gets called by a hand such a JJ. If his opponent ever folds a hand like jacks, this play makes money against medium pairs. It's really just a question of how often he's against AA or KK in relation to how often he can push out a coin-flip hand plus the occasional AQ or somesuch.
My personal feeling is that it's worthwhile to play this hand. Keep in mind that $25 is 10% of his stack already invested in this pot.

Day #6 since my husband quit smoking. I didn't think it was possible for a person to not smile for an entire day. He some how pulled it off. Although he has been scowling at me for the last week I'm considering it a good thing. He finally decided he'd rather sleep with me than smoke. I think he misses sleeping in his den though. He was really getting settled in there. :-)

Hey,
I was told to PM you about being added to the FCP charter members list. I was unable to sign up due to IP ban at college dorm which occurred during all the smasharoo craziness early on in this sites history; However, I was around when the site was originally started and would like to be added to the list if possible. (back at home now so i can log in to my other account). DN mentioned the only problem he had with it was that if he let me be added to the list then the "floodgates" would open. I figured if this was done under the table there wouldn't be a problem...PM me back...
Thanks,
