Title: Marcel Luske Eliminated
Log:
With the board showing Ad-Kd-8s-Qs, Marcel Luske bets $3,000, Steve Crockett moves all in, and Luske calls with pocket kings (set). But Crocket shows Jd-10d for a straight on the turn, and Luske needs the board to pair on the river to stay alive. The river card pairs the board with a queen! Unfortunately, it's the Qd, which gives Luske a full house (kings full of queens), but gives Crockett a royal flush. It wasn't technically a bad beat (Luske was behind when the money went in the pot), but it certainly hurt for Luske.

Marcel, Marcel. How did he let someone w/ JT see a flop? Especially while holding KK.

He's still awesome. At least he didn't get hit by a bus.

With huge implied odds with the blinds compared to the stacks, J-10 is a great hand to see a flop with, even with a raise.

Yeah, while not technically a "bad beat", I imagine it couldn't have felt very good for Marcel regardless.
Shame, too, as he's one of my favorites to watch.

I'm sure Marcel liked the action from Jack, Ten of diamonds. He had to be at least 80/20.

The guy limped in for $200 in middle position with his JTs. Luske made it $2000 in the BB. He only had $8000 left after that so I guess he wanted maximum action and...he got it.

Preflop Marcel was 80/20, Postflop he was 65/35, after the Turn he was down to 20/80.

I think it's kinda ironic that this hand happened at the Five Diamond Classic of all tournaments.
