Y0u still aren't making any sense. If it's a cash game it should be limit. Was this some sort of weird home game?

you can't play being afraid of the absolute nuts all the time...and you really didn't give us any info on the person you were playing...but even so, I call 100% of the time especially a limit game since you have the odds to call for sure...you have the winning hand 9 out of 10 times

I have only seen Stud played PL at GamesGrid, and that was a while ago, I dont have an account there anymore. If you are playing Stud NL/PL, you are dumb. So since Limit is the norm for Stud, your post makes no sense as it pertains to a "normal" game of Stud.

Just an opinion,
If you bet and get re-raised, he's telling you "I have a HUGE hand" or he's bluffing. By the bet he's telling you he has KKK beat, and probably the K high flush, which should be ok with you because you can beat all of those hands.
If he's a solid player he could have turned over AAA99, 9999, QsJsTs9s8s, JsTs9s8s7s, and make that bet.
More importantly, and I don't know, how many players were there? did you see 12 or 14 card that were not 9's before 4th Street, and how many more did you see before everyone folded to your KK? That information would have helped.
All in all you have to call there, sometimes your just beat and you get a a good story out of it

The OP clearly does not understand the distinctions between tournament poker and cash game poker. His grasp of limit vs. no-limit poker seems to be a little ambiguous as well. If I were forced to make a guess, I would say that he is either under the age of 15 or mildly retarded.

Your post makes absolutely no sense at all and I have no clue what you're even talking about, but if this were a limit game, I wouldn't even raise the river if bet into by someone decent. Anyone with half a brain doesn't bet into somebody with a board showing 3 Kings when they can't at least beat a fullhouse.
Action on previous streets would also be helpful, but considering you didn't post any of that, it sounds like you made it up.

My guess is that he kept RE-raising back until he had all of his money in the middle, and then in his opponents roll.
It was probably limit, and he didn't get the fact that he was beat....again, down the road.

Ummm....well since you are being a prick ot the OP, I dont feel bad being a prick to you. But you suggest the OP go and read a book on poker right after telling him that he has the 2nd nuts. Hmmmmm......maybe you should have him pick you up one of those books too because thinking he has the 2nd nuts is just as retarded.
And to the OP - I assume you are playing some home game variation to stud. In any case, Im calling here 99% of the time knowing that I very well could be beat. And like a previous post said, knowing some of the other players board cards would certainly help.

technically he doesnt have the 2nd nuts but the only hands that can beat him here are AAA down, 99x down, or a straight flush, there are no circumstances in a limit game where you can ever fold kings full against that board

Agreed. Just thought it was ironic how some online tough guy tried to ridicule somebody basically telling them they do not know how to play poker when they do not know how to read a board themselves. And I think based on the post, he obviously was not playing a limit game (i know i know, what a dumb game) , therefore there are some people who can argue against a call there. Calling off all your chips with the 7th nuts (let me know if Im missing a hand) isnt always the correct move.
But again, just giving the guy a hard time really.

I still hold to my thoughts on the black tar though...ok...missed several more hands...lol anyhow, point being..what I'm trying to say if you can get my point is....straight flush/quads etc, you cannot fold worried someone holds those cards in a limit game..you pay them off...I would have a hard time in a tourney getting away from this hand

maybe if you explain the hand better we could give better answers, but it basically sounds like your whining about losing to quads. Don't fold Kings full, don't play NL Stud, if it was limit don't 13 bet with 3 kings showing when the other guy is still raising you.

Lets put it this way. Your showing KKK and he isnt afraid of your bets at all? You bet every street im asuming... And he just smooth called it? If he has a paired board you cant do anything about that. Did you pick up the Q on the last card or did you start with QQ? If you had QQ to start then yeah that sucks. If you didnt have QQ to start, then you should know to fold three kings in that spot, with someone calling you like that you gotta figure they have a full house. Even then it sucks that he hit quads and you clearly had the best possible full house, assuming he didnt have rolled up AA with another Ace

There is a great home game in NYC where they play some sick games. $10-$25 NLH NLO and yup...no-limit stud. Usually it's stud hi-lo played no-limit with a declare and pots reaching $5000-$10000. If only anyone knew how to properly play that game (if there is a proper strategy) that game would be a goldmine.
Oh yeah....as for the OP. 40 year old dropped on his head at age 2 then touched in the funny place repeatedly by his wacky uncle which led him to a life of crack smoking in a group home. But he did lose "alot of cash" after calling the bet of "alot of chips".....I'm guessing $6.47.
